Chapter 83

Y/n's POV

Dad and I stood next to each other, staring at Hades. "I don't know if eating lightning was a good idea." Mom said, clearly worrying about us. Dad was growling as Gray mentioned he hadn't seen anything like what was going on before. "A lightning flame dragon and a lightning water dragon..." Celestia said. 

"This is just like the time that they ate Etherion." Big sis mentioned. Dad and I let out roars before rushing towards Hades with our powers restored. Dad punched Hades in the face before I jumped over him and kicked him towards the wall. Hades hit the wall as dad and I turned in the air to launch another attack. We kicked Hades in the shoulder with kicks with water and fire before lightning struck him twice, once from my attack and once from dad's. Hades screamed in pain as he took both hits from the lightning. "So now Natsu and Y/n are able to use Laxus powers and attacks?" Gray asked.

"That's awesome!" Mom cheered. We continued our attacks on Hades, dealing loads of damage to him. "This is what happens when you mess with Fairy Tail!" Dad and I shouted. We both punched Hades in the face again and again, sending him flying around his ship. "We'll make you pay!" Dad and I shouted. 

"Say goodbye!" I shouted. Dad and I jumped into the air gathering all the lightning, fire and water magical power we had before slamming it into Hades for one massive attack. Our attack landed, but Hades jumped out from the middle of it using his chain magic to grab onto dad's and my hands. "Haha, try hitting me with your hands tied!" Hades shouted as we landed on the floor. Dad and I started pulling our hands apart before shattering the chain magic Hades used on our hands. Dad and I started consuming the rain that had started falling inside the ship and the fires that had started preparing for our roar spells. "Lightning Fire/water dragon Roar!" Dad and I shouted. Our spells flew towards Hades, merging into one attack as it hit him while sending everyone flying back. Our combined attack was strong enough to shatter part of Hades' ship while also launching him outside of it. As our attack faded, we looked at the damage we had caused as we tried to catch our breath, barely standing upright. Hades was lying on the floor, not moving as we looked at him. "I warned ya not to mess with us." Dad said. I sighed a little before feeling myself fall forward. I braced myself mentally for the fall and pain that would come with it, only to not feel it as someone caught me. "Hey, stay with me." Celestia said.

I looked at her and smiled before kissing her cheek. "Thanks." I said. She just smiled, blushed, and nodded. "Another bites the dust." Gray said. 

"We won." Celestia said. 

"Yeah, we did." I added. We sat there resting as we looked at Hades, who was still passed out. "You may have knocked me down, but I'm not out. Well done Makarov, you've raised some truly remarkable children despite your philosophy." Hades said, getting to his feet. I growled as I moved my arm to protect Wendy. "There's no way." Celestia said.

"I can't remember the last time someone left me tattered and torn after a good brawl." Hades said. I watched as a cloak appeared around him before the dust moved away from him. I heard Celestia gasp as she looked at Hades. "How is he standing?" Gray asked.

"I appreciate the entertainment, but I must get back to work. I'll be obliterating you now. Believe me, you'd wish I'd done so sooner." Hades said, reaching for his eyepatch. 

"What kind of monster could survive such a powerful attack? And from two dragon slayers." Big sis asked. Hades removed his eyepatch before dropping it. "Devil's Eye, open." Hades said. Hades open his right eye, which was glowing red before a dark aura surrounded him. "You will now witness something you've never seen before." Hades said. I heard mom gasp as we looked at him. "The abyss of sorcery. From here extends an endless realm that surpasses your feeble imaginations." Hades said. I could feel Celestia trembling slightly as I kept my arm up in front of her. "Do you feel that?" Gray asked.

"It's not real. No, it can't be!" Celestia said.

"I've never sensed this much power in one place before." Big sis said.

"And it's getting bigger by the second." Mom added.

"I am the harbinger of Fairy Tail's last breath." Hades said. I heard dad growl a little as I did as well. As I went to get to my feet, I felt exhaustion hitting me, keeping me pinned down. "No, I've used up all my strength. That last attack did me in and I'm sure Y/n's not in much of a fighting condition, either." Dad said. Hades was just staring us down, not moving closer, as his power continued to grow. "The abyss of sorcery?" Gray asked.

"Yes, its power is overwhelming." Big sis said. Celestia couldn't stop trembling as see looked at Hades. "Hey come on, snap out of it." Mom said. I looked over my shoulder, seeing dad on the ground while mom was shaking him. "No, I'm out of power." Dad said.

"In order to walk the path of sorcery, one must look into the abyss of eternal darkness. Within that darkness lies primordial magic that shines like the heavens. It's the purest of magic power. Can you feel it? The primordial magic is so close it's palpable. Yet it's so far, it's so far in the depths it may as well be out of reach. But in those depths lies a lost world, a grand magic world, and Zeref is the key to reaching it. Tonight Zeref will awaken, and history will be forever altered and then at last the primordial magics will finally find their rightful place with me." Hades said, as he raised his right arm up. 

"We can not allow that to happen." Big sis said.

"I'm with you all the way, big sis." I said.

"You will be ostracized. Only the strong will be allowed to live, and you lack the resolve necessary to reach into the abyss." Hades said.

"Things are about to get way worse." Gray said.

"Chapter four, verse 12 from the book of Zeref. Arcane magic, Nemesis." Hades said. The air filled with magic as the surrounding stones started pouring weird blue and red creatures from them. The creatures roared as we looked at them. "No! He's creating some kind of monsters from the debris." Gray said. Celestia was shaking badly now, clearly scared about the power Hades had. "With the magic power of the abyss at my command, I can create nightmares from the tiniest speck of dust. Devilish dancers and heavenly harbingers, such is the supremacy of arcane magic!" Hades shouted. I growled, angry at Hades for scaring everyone around us with his magic, even if I was scared on the inside. I heard mom crying before I looked over at Celestia, who had her face covered with her hands. The fear inside me was growing as I felt my own hands start to shake. "I won't allow it!" I shouted, slamming my fist into the ground.

"Y/n?" Mom asked. I heard her gasp as Celestia looked at me. "Don't worry, we've got everything we need to beat him right here. 'There's nothing wrong with fear. After all, how else would we come to know our own weaknesses? And you need to know them to become a stronger and gentler person.'" Dad said. I looked back at dad who was starting to get up. "Today we learned just how weak we really are. So what do we do next? I'll tell you. We grow stronger!" Dad said, getting up. I smiled and pushed myself to my feet so I was standing up, facing Hades and the monsters he summoned. "On our own, we might be too afraid to stand up to him, but right now, we have our friends by our side. I still have courage cause you're all here with me. There's no reason to be afraid. When we're together, we can accomplish anything! Dad shouted.

"Still holding onto the light? You fools! Your futures are nothing but darkness!" Hades shouted.

"Shut it! The futures we have our eyes on are brighter than anything nightmare you can dream of!" I shouted. Big sis, Gray, mom and Celestia got to their feet ready to keep fighting. The monsters in front of us growled as they looked at us. "Let's go!" Dad shouted. We charged forward towards Hades as he raised his arms. "What could you possibly hope to do without any magic power? Now dance, my devils of the earth!" Hades asked. The monsters came to attack us, but we kept running towards Hades, avoiding most of the attack before I saw dad trip. Dad was caught by Celestia and mom before launching him forward towards big sis and Gray. I picked up my speed catching up to him easily before they launched him with their feet. Dad was sent flying towards Hades and the monsters as I jumped forward, gathering the remaining strength I had and kicking dad the rest of the way towards Hades. "I shall send you into the depths of darkness. It's time for your sun to set Fairy Tail!" Hades shouted. Dad went flying towards Hades before an explosion erupted from the ship, filling the room with dust.
