Chapter 52

Y/n's POV

About a week passed, and we had a few things happen once we got back from our last mission. Wendy and I became girlfriends. The Hanami party happened after our little team gathered some herbs that were on Mt Hakobe. Mom ended up being sick during that and dad dug the tree out before trying to plant it back in the ground. I trained with Dacoda, trying to get me to enter the dragon force again, but it wasn't working out. Wendy took on her first big job alone with went well, although everyone from the team followed her, Happy and Fried before she actually made it to the place for her job. Wendy and I also moved in together since she was moving to Fairy Hills, which we could afford since we were living together. After that Fairy Tail had a 24 hour endurance race which Happy won, while Wendy and I came in second and third, respectively. The next day we were hanging around the guild before mom and dad came into the guildhall. Mom was clearly tired while dad looked sad. Wendy was reading a book. I was sitting next to her eating some food while Carla and Sapphire were enjoying some tea together. "Gotta say you two are looking right at home at Fairy Tail." Mom said, looking at Wendy and Carla.

"Yeah." Wendy agreed. Carla pointed out that we were living in the girl's only dorm before Wendy asked why mom wasn't living there. Mom explained she didn't know about it until after she moved into the place she had and that it was 100,000 for rent a month before mentioning that her place was cheaper and that she was broke. Wendy and Carla nervously laughed about it before Warren and Max came running into the guildhall. "Big news!" They shouted. Everyone looked at them before the bells at Kardia Cathedral rang out across the town. "What's going on?" Mom asked.

"Sounds like bells." Carla and Wendy said at the same time. Everyone in the guild started getting excited before cheering about someone named Gildarts coming back. "Gildarts? Who's that?" Mom asked. 

"I've never heard of them." I said. 

"He's the strongest wizard Fairy Tail has." Auntie Mira said.

"Are you serious? I thought Erza was the strongest." Mom said, freaking out a little. I looked at big sis a little confused. "All modesty aside, I don't even hold a candle to him." Big sis said.

"I bet this guy is the king of breaking stuff." Mom said. Everyone was excited and jumping around while we just stood back and watched everyone be excited about what was going on. Auntie Mira told us about how he'd been gone for three years before explaining that there were quests higher than S-Class quests. There are SS-Class quests, Decade quests, and century quests. Big sis explained Gildarts took on a century quest before we heard about the Magnolia Gildarts Shift. "What the heck is a Magnolia Gildarts Shift, anyway?" Mom asked.

"Step outside and see for yourself." Big sis said. Mom, Wendy, Carla, Sapphire and I stepped outside, seeing the town moving as the ground beneath our feet shook. A clear path opened up, leading to Fairy Tail. "Magnolia just split in two!" Mom shouted. Big sis explained it was a precautionary measure for Gildarts Crush magic. "Since it destroys anything he touches, it's much safer if he stays clear of everyone's houses and businesses." Auntie Mira added. 

"He sounds amazing." Wendy said. I nodded in agreement before holding her hand. Everyone just looked at the door waiting for Gildarts to walk into the guildhall. Gildarts stood in the doorway for a second before looking around at everything. He let out a sigh before dad came over asking to fight him. Gildarts walked into the guildhall before stopping in front of auntie Mira. "Welcome home." Auntie Mira said. 

"Eh, sorry to btoehr you miss, but I'm looking for a guild that used to be around these parts called Fairy Tail?" Gildarts asked.

"This is it. Remember me? Mirajane." Auntie Mira said.

"Huh? Mira? Wow! You sure have grown up little girl and did you change some stuff around the hall too?" Gildarts asked. I laughed about it since it noticable that dad took after Gildarts a bit. "Gildarts!" Dad shouted.
