Chapter 35

Y/n's POV

Dacoda, Wendy and I were walking around enjoying some time together, but something seemed off with Dacoda. "What's wrong, Dacoda?" I asked.

"It's nothing." Dacoda said. I just nodded, but didn't believe his answer. "So Y/n are you a wizard?" Wendy asked. 

"Yeah, I'm a water dragon slayer." I said. Wendy stared at me in shock before looking at Carla. "Really?" She asked. I nodded. "I'm a sky dragon slayer." Wendy said. 

"That's awesome. Here we are, three dragon slayers, all friends!" I cheered. 

"Three?" Carla asked. I nodded and gestured towards Dacoda, who looked a little grumpy. "Dacoda's an ice dragon slayer." I said.

"This is weird. I can't believe there's three of us." Wendy said.

"Well, my papa is a fire dragon slayer." I said.

"Four now?" Carla asked.

"There's one more. Gajeel, remember?" Dacoda pointed out. 

"Five of us, that sounds about right." I said, thinking about it. 

"That's so many to be in one place at a time." Wendy said. I nodded before seeing a stall that had some new sweets. I rushed over there and started looking through sweets, finding ones that looked good. Wendy and Dacoda slowly followed me before I showed them the sweets that I bought. Wendy and I shared the treats happily while Dacoda was being difficult. After we enjoyed the sweets, I saw a bunch of people from the guild running around before hearing fights happening. "Guys I think it might be best if we got to my house." I said. 

"What's going on?" Wendy asked.

"From the looks and sounds of it people from our guild are fighting." I said.

"Really?" Dacoda asked. I nodded before seeing Alzack running by with Jet and Droy not too far behind him. "Let's head back." I said. 

"Are you sure it's okay if we come to your house?" Wendy asked looking nervous. I smiled at her before nodding. I started walking back towards my house before putting a little space between me and everyone. "What are you doing?" Dacoda asked.

"Stay back, something around us feels off." I said. Dacoda stopped in his tracks before looking at me. A ring of letters formed around us before it constructed walls. "Oh boy." I said. After the walls were constructed a new set of letters formed on it. "Only the one who is victorious can leave this area." I read outloud. I turned and faced Dacoda. "I'm sorry." Dacoda apologized. 

"It's alright, I've got a plan to out anyways." I said.

"Really?" Dacoda asked. I nodded. "Please be careful." Wendy said. 

"We'll be fine." I said.

"What's the plan?" Dacoda asked. 

"Let's build up some magic energy before firing it at each other." I explained. He nodded and I started building up magic energy as he did as well. "Ice dragon roar!" Dacoda shouted. I let the magic energy I built up dissipate before taking a full powered roar without defense.

Wendy's POV

Ice filled the box that had formed around Dacoda and Y/n before the dust kicked up from the attack settled. I looked inside seeing Dacoda standing while the ice in front of him, but Y/n wasn't anywhere to be seen. "What happened?" I asked. The box that was around them disappeared before Dacoda turned towards me. "I thought she'd block or use her own attack." Dacoda said as tears were beginning to fall down his face. I rushed over and saw that Y/n was stuck in the ice that came from his attack. "Dacoda we need to get her out of there." I said. He nodded and started trying to break the ice out from around her body. When we finally got her out of the ice she was knocked out. "We need to get her warmed up, where's her house?" I asked. Dacoda led me to her house while I did my best to carry her. He let me into the house before helping me carry Y/n inside. 

We laid her down on the bed covering her with some blankets. "What can I do to help? Dacoda asked. 

"Right now, we just have to wait and hope she wakes up soon." I said. I looked at him and saw worry covering his face. "She'll be okay, I think she knew that would happen." I said.

"You think so?" He asked.

"You know her better then I do, but I still believe she'd do that to protect a friend." I said. He smiled and nodded. "Alright, I'm going to use some of my magic to heal her." I said. He nodded as I started healing her. Half an hour later I finished doing what I could to heal her. "You done healing her?" Dacoda asked. I nodded. "I'm sorry I caused so much trouble since we first met." Dacoda apologized. 

"It's fine, I actually think it's fun being here and around you two." I said.  He smiled before we waited for Y/n to wake up. After a couple hours of waiting Y/n finally opened her eyes. "Hey." Y/n said getting our attention. We walked over and kneel down next to her. "I guess the plan worked." She said. We both sighed and looked at her. "I guess I should've explained the plan." She said. 

"That was super dangerous you know." I said.

"Yeah what if I had frozen you so bad you didn't wake up?" Dacoda asked.

"I figured I'd be fine." She said. Sapphire flew up and started hitting her on the head. "There was no reason you had to do something that danerous." Sapphire complained. Y/n reached up and patted her on the head. "I'm okay, you don't need to worry about me." Y/n said giving a big smile. Everyone sighed before we sat there and talked about what happened and why I wasn't affected by the containment spell. After we discussed that I made sure that Y/n got some more sleep before making sure that she would wake up every now and then. Me and Dacoda got to know each other a little better while he told me more about Y/n and how she was like a big sister to him.
