Chapter 16 Phantoms are Roaming Magnolia

A/n: Okay, so I've gotten a lot of comments for names and I've used @memeog0 suggestion. I will now refer to Aqua, the water dragon, as Kaida.

Y/n's POV

Our little team was walking back from a job while mommy was complaining about daddy, big sis and Gray came with us. "I can't believe those four came with us." Mommy said. 

"Mommy, what's wrong with going on quests with our team?" I asked. I felt something land on my head as we continued walking. "Y/n's right, being part of a team means we should go on quests together and get to know each other more." Sapphire said, agreeing with me. Mommy sighed before turning to see the looks people were giving us. Sapphire flew down and hid herself in my shirt, not wanting to be seen. "What's with the looks we're getting?" Mommy asked. I turned back to the road and saw the guild hall. I tugged on the edge of mommy's shirt. "Mommy, something's wrong with the guild." I said. Daddy picked me up and ran to the front of the guild. "What's happened to the guild hall?" Big sis asked. I heard footsteps coming towards us before smelling that it was auntie Mira. "It was Phantom Lord. They did this to our guild." Auntie Mira said. I looked back up at the guild as anger started take over. "Come on, we're using the basement for the hall." Auntie Mira said. I could tell daddy was just as upset as I was. Mommy went to grab my hand, but I pulled away from her. "I wanna be alone for a minute." I said.

"Okay, don't stay out here too long." Mommy said. I nodded, looking at the guild while they went inside. I walked up to the doors and gently rested my hand on them, I sniffed around finding a scent on some of the steel poles that were sticking out of the guild. "Y/n is something wrong?" Sapphire asked.

"I smell him, he's still around watching us from somewhere." I whispered. 

"Are you sure?" Sapphire asked, climbing out of my shirt.

"I'm sure, I just can't figure out where he is." I said. I turned and saw a man in black before blinking, I looked back to see that he disappeared. "Come on, let's head inside before Lucy gets mad." Sapphire said. I nodded and followed her inside. We went to the stairs leading to the basement and heard daddy yelling about how gramps wouldn't fight back against Phantom Lord. I stopped on the stairs and thought of Kaida leaving without telling me. I ran down the rest of the stairs knocking over some chairs and a table before hugging daddy. "N-no please don't go fight." I cried. Tears were starting to form in my eyes he looked down at me. "Sweetie what's wrong?" Mommy asked. I tightened my grip on daddy's clothes before mommy could get me off him. "I'm sorry sweetie." Daddy said. 

"Please don't fight, Kaida was in a fight just before she left me." I said trying to wipe my tears away. I felt a pat on my head before looking to see daddy kneeling down. "I promise, but if someone gets hurt I'll fight then okay?" Daddy said. I nodded. He hugged me before I stopped crying. "How about we go outside and train some?" Daddy suggested. I nodded smiling a bit before we left the basement.

Lucy's POV

After Y/n, Natsu, Happy, and Sapphire left I turned to gramps, Mira and the rest of my team. "Is that normal?" I asked.

"For Natsu to care so much about a person?" Gray asked.

"It is normal, as a kid Natsu went through the same thing as Y/n. Losing a parent is a hard thing on any child, but when it's the only family you have it's devestating. Her world was probably shattered then comes along a wonderful young girl to be her mother and another dragon slayer she see's as a father." Master explains. 

"It's true, I don't think Natsu has ever been this close to anyone other then Igneel." Mira said. Master nodded. "I never thought flame brain could take care of a kid, what do you think about this Erza?" Gray asked.

"I think it's lovely that Natsu is learning how to be a parent." Erza said.

Makarov's POV

After the trio left Mira came over to me. "Is something wrong master?" Mira asked.

"No, no, I just was thinking about something." I said.

"It seems that Y/n's magic power is growing, her current level seems to be on the same level as a girl at least three or four years older then her." I thought. I stopped drinking and hopped off the box I was on. "I'm headed out for a while Mira, please close up and tell everyone to be careful for the next couple days." I said. She nodded and waved to me as I felt the guild. I headed to the East Forest and stopped at Porlyusica's front door. I knocked and waited for her to open the door. "Makarov, it's unusual for you to come visit me." She said.

"It's good to see you too, I've actually come on a bit of business. May I come in?" I asked. She let me in allowing me to sit on the bed that she had up. "I've come to talk to you about a young mage who's joined the guild." I said.

"The young water dragon slayer mage right?" She asked.

"Yes, I'm concerned about her magical power. Recently it's been growing at an extreme rate, and for someone her age it seems dangerous." I explained.

"I've noticed, even from here I can feel her magic growing. I'm not sure but I feel another type of magic other then her water dragon slayer magic. If you wouldn't mind would it be possible for me to either visit her or have her come here. The later request is the prefered option." She said.

"I'll have her and her mother come by tomorrow, please don't chase her mother off. The girl is going through the loss of her dragon still and she was reminded of it earlier." I said hopping off the bed. 

"Of course, well we'll see what's going on with her." She said.

"Thank you." I said as I left her house.
