Chapter 60

Y/n's POV

Wendy, papa and I were pushed into a cell as the exit to the cell was sealed with bars. "Hey where are the others?" Dad asked, glaring at the man who threw us in the cell. He looked at dad confused. "Others?" He asked.

"Yeah, where are Lucy, Carla and Happy?" Wendy asked.

"Who's Lucy? Oh you mean the blonde bimbo. Pretty little thing unfortunately we've got no use for her so she's going to be executed." The man answered. Dad growled and pulled on the bars of the cell. "If you jerks so much as lay a finger on Lucy, I swear, you're gonna pay. I'll burn you down to a pile of ashes." Dad said. I sat there worried about mom, but didn't want the knights to know that I had my magic back yet. "Well aren't you a scary one. So tell me something are all Earthland wizards as ferocious as you are?" The man asked.

"Not all of us, but it's best not to be on our bad side." I answered.

"You're going to execute Lucy? What'll happen to Carla and Happy?" Wendy asked.

"You don't need to worry about exceeds." The man answered.

"His name is Happy get it straight." Dad said.

"The exceeds accomplished their mission, so we took them back to their homeland. In fact I bet the little guys have claimed their reward and are having a feast while we speak." The man said. 

"What do you mean? What mission?" Wendy asked.

"They've only had one mission, but we don't know what it is." I said.

"No way! That's not possible! I don't know what kind of mission you guys sent her on, but I know Carla abandoned it." Wendy shouted.

"Oh yeah? She actually completed it like a pro." The man said.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"That can't be." Wendy said, sadly. 

"You mean, you still haven't figured it out yet? Their mission was to eliminate you three, but it changed to capturing you although there were only two exceeds instead of three which is odd." The man explained.

"That can't be right." Dad said.

"No way." Wendy said. Some cheering started which was close by before Wendy came over and hugged me. "You don't believe that was their mission do you?" Wendy asked me. I shook my head. "I'm not sure yet." I whispered to her. Wendy was just quiet and didn't look at me. "This is so cool. We finally got our hands on you. You three have so much of that dragon slayer magic inside you all we gotta do now is suck it out." The man said. He laughed as I hugged Wendy glaring at him. "You won't find it easy to pull magic out from inside us." I threatened. 

"I don't believe it. Happy would never turn his back on us. That's just impossible. What'd you do to my buddy! Tell me!" Dad shouted. He got up and walked over to the bars before punching them. "Dad calm down for now." I said.

"Come on Y/n, let's break out of here. I know you can do it." Dad said. I just sighed before shaking my head. "Dad, we shouldn't alert them. Plus if they knew about me they'd move up mom's execution possibly." I said. Dad growled before trying to use his Fire Dragon Roar Spell, which ended up not working still. "I could've told you that wouldn't work." Wendy said.

"Stupid Edolas and your stupid new magic drought." Dad complained.

"Where do you think Happy and Carla are?" Wendy asked.

"I'm not sure, but given how that man talked about exceeds they're more than likely with other exceeds." I said. After a while of just waiting around Wendy and dad had fallen asleep while I stayed up thinking about what was going on. I could hear some movement coming close of the cell we were in and decided to pretend to be asleep. Someone started moving us and dragged us to a new place. I pretended to be asleep for as long as I could before feeling myself being chained up. As I heard the people move away from the chains I opened my eyes and looked in front of us. "My, one dragon slayer is already awake. The extraction of your dragon slaying magic will be the most difficult, so I'll begin with the other two." The old man said. 

"Don't you dare." I growled. The man laughed before turning on his machine and pointing it towards Wendy and dad. They both screamed in pain as I saw magic leaving their bodies. "Stop!" I screamed. I pulled on the chains with all my strength snapping the one that was on my right arm. "Don't you hurt them!" I shouted. The old man continued to drain their magic before turning the machine to me. I felt my magic slowly leaving my body as it was being pulled from my body. I screamed before looking over seeing Wendy and dad resting before the old man turned the machine off. "What impressive specimens you three are. The magic power you possess is tremendous." The old man said. 

"Y/n, Natsu, are you two okay?" Wendy asked, looking over at us. 

"Yeah." Dad answered.

"I'll be fine." I said, glaring at the old man.

"No matter what they do to us we can't let them get the better of us." Dad said. Wendy nervously laughed as she looked away from us. "I know we're going to make it through this. Don't you dare give up hope." Dad encouraged. 

"Yeah, I'm sure our friends will come and help us any minute now." Wendy said. The old man started laughing as he looked at us. "So none of you is willing to face reality and know when you've been beaten. It's as bullheadedness that makes a dragon slayer?" The old man asked. The old man turned the machine back on facing it towards me again. I grit my teeth feeling my magic being pulled from me. "Listen to me, you have to stay strong! You can't let him break your spirit Y/n! Wendy!" Dad shouted.

"That sounds like a challenge to me." The old man said. Dad growled and looked at the man. "Just leave them alone, take everything from me!" Dad demanded. I gathered all the strength again pulling on the chains that were on my legs. I managed to break the one on my left leg. "Looks like I've broken two of your chains, old man. The first thing I'm going to do when I'm out of these is beat you black and blue. I'll show you the full wrath of a dragon slayer." I said, looking at the old man. The old man just laughed as he turned the machine towards me again after draining more of Natsu and Erza's magic energy. As I was having my magic drained I heard something happening really close by. The sounds coming from down the hallway sounded like there was a fight going on. "Ready to go you two?" I asked. 

"What are you talking about?" Wendy asked. I looked at her and slimed before summoning the all of my remaining strength. I shattered the chain that was holding my right leg before moving out of the way as he pointed the machine at me. The machine hit the stone that I was being held to before I grabbed the chain and flipped the stone over shattering the stone on the floor. "Looks like I'm free. Ready for the beat down on the century?" I asked, looking at the old man. The old man panicked and turned the machine towards dad and Wendy. I rushed in front of the machine blocking it from hitting dad or Wendy. "You care that much for these two? You're willing to give up your own magic just to save them?" The old man asked. I could feel my magic draining again, but this time I could tell something was different. The machine was draining my magic faster than before and the old man was just smiling as he watched. After a few seconds the old man turned the machine off before putting it away. I feel to my knees feeling exhausted as I looked at the ground. "Using this magic we'll have the ability to give the kingdom infinite magic power forever!" The old man said, before I heard him rushing out of the room. The knights came in and let dad and Wendy out of the chains before they rushed out as someone else came rushing towards the room.
