Chap 2. Y/n's First Job and Her New Home

Lucy's POV

Once I grabbed Y/n's little dragon we headed towards the train station. "Hey Natsu, did you get to look at the picture of Aqua?" I asked. He and Happy were just walking towards the station ignoring me, I sighed continuing to follow them. Once we got to the station we bought our tickets and hopped onto the train headed for Magnolia. "I guess it's time to head home." I thought to myself as I laid Y/n's head down on my lap. The train started towards Magnolia, about half way through the trip Y/n woke up. "Hey, how was your nap?" I asked. Y/n sat up and leaned out the window, I heard her throwing up as the train kept going. I rubbed her back as she kept her head out the window, she came back in once she was done throwing up. "S-sorry, I-I don't l-like riding trains." Y/n said sitting back down on her seat. I giggled and pointed at Natsu who was trying his best not to throw up as well. "You're not the only one who doesn't like riding the train." I said. Y/n giggled a bit and laid her head back down on my lap, I set my hand on her head and started to stroke her messy hair.

Time Skip to arrival to Magnolia

We stepped off the train and Y/n seemed to marvel at how magnolia looked, she ran around for a second looking at everything she could. "Y/n, stay close by I don't want you getting lost." I said. Y/n looked back to me before coming back to me, I offered her my hand which she took as I lead her towards the guild. "We're back!" Natsu yelled as he kicked the door open. There were a few people who welcome Natsu back, Gray tried to pick a fight with him and then a brawl broke out in the guild. I lead Y/n to the counter and set her on a stool, she watched in amazement as everyone fought. "Welcome back Lucy, how was the mission?" Mira asked coming over to us. I sighed and gave a thumbs up, Mira looked at Y/n and then back at me. "Oh, this is Y/n she was alone in the town where our mission was. She's a water dragon slayer, and was alone so I thought she could possibly join the guild." I explained. Mira nodded and went to get the stamp, I watched as gramps stopped everyone from fighting anymore. "Are you fools done? There's a child in here what example are you setting for her." Gramps said pointing towards Y/n. Everyone looked over at her, she grabbed my hand and looked away from everyone. Gramps shurnk down to his normal size and walked over to us.

"Sorry about that dear, just needed to let them know not to get you into fighting whenever you want." Gramps said. Y/n looked down at gramps and nodded, Mira came back to us with the stamp. "So where do you want your symbol and what color?" Mira asked. Y/n let go of my hand and turned towards her, giving her left hand to her. "Can I get it as F/c?" Y/n asked. Mira nodded and put the stamp on the back of her hand, once Mira removed the stamp Y/n saw her new guild's symbol. "Now you can go on jobs that are posted over there." Mira said pointing towards the request board. Y/n got down from her stool heading towards the request board, I followed her looking for another job for me, Natsu, and Happy. "Will you help me pick a job?" Y/n asked. I nodded looking over the jobs wondering which one would be good for the four of us.

"Hey what about this one?" I said taking a job flyer off the board. It was a small job, it was to take out some muggers who were harassing a town. "Yeah, I don't like people picking on others. Let's go teach them a lesson." Y/n said gaining a fierce look. I nodded and took the flyer over to Mira so we could accept the job. "Natsu, Happy come on we're going." I said as Mira gave the flyer back to me. Natsu and Happy headed over to us, Y/n walked over to me taking my hand and holding her dragon in the other. We headed out of the guild and headed towards the town where the job was located. "Well lucky for us we can walk to the town, and it shouldn't take too long to complete the job." I said. Y/n, Natsu and Happy all cheered as we headed towards the town.

Time skip to after job completion

Y/n's POV

"Well that was harder then expected, well at least we're done." Lucy said. I nodded, and leaned onto Lucy at the sun was starting to set. "Can we go home?" I asked. Lucy nodded lifting me onto her back, I wrapped my arms around her neck so I wouldn't fall off. "Oh come on at least let her sit higher then that Lucy." Natsu said lifting me onto his shoulders. We started our way back home, talking about how well I did with my dragon slayer magic. Once we returned to Magnolia Lucy took me from Natsu and parted ways with him. "How about we head to my house and sleep for the night?" Lucy said. I nodded and got down to walk next to Lucy, I grabbed her hand as she lead the way to her house. We got to her house, entering it I looked at how cute it was I wondered around the house looking at each room. "Wow this place is so cute." I said letting out a small squeal. Lucy giggled and lead me to the bathroom, she took off my torn dress before turning on the water for a bath. "Well you're covered in dirt, let's get you in the bath and then we can get you to bed." Lucy said as she helped me out of the rest of my clothes.

I hopped into the tub and let the heat sweep over me. I felt Lucy wash my hair and scrub my back trying her best to get me clean. "Is that better?" Lucy asked as I stepped out of the tub. I nodded, using my magic to dry myself off. "Well, I bet that's nice, being able to dry yourself off." Lucy said. I nodded, stepping in front of the mirror trying to see myself in it. I could barely see myself in it, Lucy giggled a bit and stood next to me. "Well looks like you need to grow a little before you can see yourself in the mirror." Lucy said grabbing a brush. I saw what she grabbed running out of the bathroom trying to hide from Lucy. "Y/n, we need to brush your hair or else it could be damaged." Lucy said looking for me. I was hiding under her bed as far in the back as I could. "Y/n come on out, I need to brush your hair." Lucy said looking under the bed.

"No, it hurts when people brush it, Aqua was the only one who could do it without hurting me." I said staying underneath the bed.

"How about I try and if it hurts you can at least comb it?" Lucy said. I slowly came out from underneath the bed as she sat on her bed letting me sit on her lap. Lucy brushed my hair without it hurting me, once she finished she pulled a shirt of hers out of a closet and slipped it on over me. "There for now this will  work, but we'll have to go get you clothes later." Lucy said sitting me down so I would face her. I nodded and looked out the window, the moon had already come up. "*yawn* is it time for bed, mommy?" I said. I covered my mouth as soon as I realized what I said. "M-mommy? I'm not even that much older then you." Lucy said.

"I know, but you saved me, let me join your guild, gave me a new home, so should I not call you mommy?" I asked. Lucy shook her head, I smiled and hugged her. "I guess I'm your new mommy." Mommy said. I nodded, letting tears flow down my cheeks as sobs came from me. Mommy hugged me back and pulled the blanket over us, I fell asleep in mommy's arms after a very eventful day. "I... love... you... mommy..." I whispered out before falling asleep.
