Chapter 25

Y/n's POV

I held Dacoda's hand as I pulled him towards the guild. When we got there, some people seemed a little upset that I brought Dacoda with me. "Gramps!" I yelled, looking up at him. He turned to see me with Dacoda before turning to everyone that was working. "Alright, let's take a break for a few minutes." Gramps said as everyone started chatting. Gramps shrunk down to his normal size and walked over to me and Dacoda. I turned back to see Dacoda looking away from me with a red face. "Is something wrong Dacoda?" I asked. He looked at me before quickly looking away again. "N-no, nothing's wrong." He said. I put my hand to his forehead to see if he had a fever or something. "Okay, but your face is as red as a tomato." I said with a giggle.

"What can I do for you Y/n?" Gramps asked. 

"Well, I finally got Dacoda to come out, and I thought it would be a good idea for him to get his Fairy Tail mark." I explained. Gramps nodded and headed over to auntie Mira. They talked for a second before auntie Mira handed him the stamp. I looked at Dacoda again to see if he was happy about this, but his face was still red. "What's going on? I wonder if he's sick?" I thought to myself. Gramps had Dacoda reveal where he wanted the mark and what color. After that I walked over to big sis to see what she needed us to do. "Big sis, do you need me to do anything?" I asked. She thought for a minute before pointing to papa and Gray, who were in the ground. "Would you mind digging those two out of the ground?" She asked. I nodded and walked over to see how I could get them out. I got my arms under papa's arms before pulling him up with all of my strength. As I pulled him out of the ground, I let go of papa's arms and accidentally sent him flying to the ground behind me. "Sorry papa!" I yelled as I got ready to pull Gray out. I knelt down before I felt a hand on my shoulder. "I'll do it." Dacoda said. I nodded and stepped back to let him pull Gray out. Dacoda easily lifted him out of the ground without throwing him. He smiled at me before I turned to big sis Erza. "What's next?" I asked. 

"Want to help me move this lumber?" She asked. I nodded and walked over to the pile of wood, lifting a single piece by myself. I followed her to where we were stacking all the Lumber so gramps could use it. "Hey Y/n look how many I can lift." Dacoda said, carrying three pieces. 

"Great job, but don't hurt yourself." I said with a smile. I walked past him and picked up another piece of lumber before I heard something hitting the ground. I looked behind me to see Dacoda on the floor under the lumber he was carrying. "What did I tell you?" I asked. Dacoda let out a sigh as I helped him out from under the lumber. "Thanks." Dacoda said. I smiled and nodded before heading to the lumber pile. After working for a few hours I sniffed the air smelling a familiar scent. I looked around and saw Juvia hiding behind a wall. I smiled and waved at her before she jumped out and delievered a boxed lunch to Gray. Gray was freaking out because his face was made out of veggies. "Hey, Y/n I have a favor to ask of you." Loki said getting my attention. 

"What's up?" I asked. He handed me mama's gate keys still in her Fairy Tail pouch. "I just need ya to return these to her." He said. 

"Sure, I'll let mama know you were the one who found them." I said. He smiled and nodded before heading off somewhere. "How about we go check on Lucy she hasn't been here at all today." Big sis suggested. I nodded as we made our way to our home. I unlocked the door and walked inside to see papa entering through the window and Gray through the chimney. Everyone started looking around for mama, I saw a note on her desk and picked it up. They looked ina draw that had some of mama's clothes in it. "Don't look in there." I said. It was too late and they were all beet red in the face because of what they saw. "Here's a note mama left." I said handing it to big sis. 

Happy knocked over a box that had a bunch of letters in it. "What's this?" Papa asked. 

"That's mama's letter box, she writes letters a lot, but never sends them out." I said. 

"Well the note suggests that she's headed home." Big sis said. As I heard that memories of how I lost Kaida came flooding back. I felt tears start to pour down my face as I went to hide under the blanket of mama's bed. The tears continued to fall down my face as everyone was trying to figure what was going on.

Sapphire's POV

After I came home from doing a few things by myself I saw Natsu, Erza, Gray, and Happy inside the house. I flew in the window to see a big lump on the bed. "Y/n what's wrong?" Natsu asked. I heard crying from under the blanket. "Pleaase stop your making it worse." I said. Everyone looked at me as I landed on the bed. "Do you know what's going on Sapphire?" Erza asked. I nodded and grabbed Y/n's plush dragon that Kaida helped her make. I pushed it gently under the blanket letting her take it from me. "This is bad, where's Lucy?" I asked. Erza handed me the note and I let out a sigh. "I get it now. Let's go get Lucy, Y/n's not going to be moving for a little bit." I said.

"What's going on Sapphire?" Natsu asked.

"Y/n's having a breakdown. Her past still haunts her and this is one of the things that can trigger this type of reaction." I explained. I closed the window and got ready to head out. "Y/n I'll be back in a few hours okay?" I said. She uncovered her head to look at me. "I'll come." She said. I rested my paw on her head as she came out from the blanket. "Okay, let's go then." I said. We headed to the train station and got tickets heading to the Heartfilia estate. Y/n clung to Erza the entire way tere since she was still panicking about Lucy not being with her. While we were on the train Y/n fell asleep on Erza's shoulder. "Being left alone makes her act this way?" Erza asked me. 

"Yes and no, it's not just being left alone it's also finding out someone left without her knowing." I explained. Erza nodded as she stroked Y/n's hair. When we got to the Heartfilia estate we saw Lucy standing in front of a statue. "Lucy!" Everyone yelled. She turned to face us as we ran over to see her. Y/n was the first one to get to her and hugged her. "Please don't do that again." Y/n begged. I floated over to Lucy and lightly hit her on her head. "What was that for?" Lucy asked. 

"That was for leaving Y/n alone and causing her to have a breakdown." I said. Lucy seemed to realize what I meant and hugged Y/n as tight as she could. "I'm so sorry, I should've let you know that I was leaving to come here." She said. Y/n looked at her and smiled. "It's okay, you didn't leave me forever." Y/n said. After that everyone talked about what happened and what was going on with us coming after her. On the train ride back Y/n sat next to Lucy and hugged her the entire time.
