My Only Hope

Chapter 13

Jack dropped me off at home and drove to get the guys Taco Bell. I really though he was going to properly ask me to be his girlfriend this time, but he didn't.
Waiting is not my thing. I am very impatient. I've always just found something better that I could have sooner instead of waiting for what I wanted. But jack is worth the wait.
My thoughts were obviously showing through my face because my mom sat next to me.
"What are you worrying about?" She asks me.
"Not really worrying, just getting very impatient with jack." I say.
"Why?" She asks.
"Okay don't you think he should have asked me to be his girlfriend by now?" I say.
"Wait what?" She gets confused.
"I like jack, a lot...." I admit which was awkward.
"Well, does he like you" she asks.
"Yeah! That's why I'm so confused! He treats me and acts like were dating but won't make it official!" I say getting frustrated.
"Give him time, Lillian. And also, don't tell your dad" she says.
"Why doesn't dad like jack?! Jacks probably the nicest guy in omaha" I say.
"Ever since Jayden he doesn't trust any guys, and I never told you think but he never even wanted you around your friends, but I convinced him" she says.
"Can't he see how sweet jack is?" I ask.
"He thought Jayden was sweet at the family dinner too" my mom says and walks back to the kitchen to clean.
I took out my phone and texted jack.
L- you're coming over tomorrow.

Then I got a text from Sadie.
Sadie🌸: so like gilinsky just asked me out...
L- already? What did you say?
Sadie🌸: I said yes 😎
L- I wish johnson would ask me out already...
Sadie🌸: it will happen.
I lock my phone and my dad walks through the door.
"Hey dad" I smile as he sits on the chair in front of me.
"Hey sweetheart what'd you do today?" He asks, we rarely had a full conversation so it was nice when we did.
"I went to the pier with Sam and the jacks. gilinsky is with this girl named Sadie and she's super nice, were actually friends now." I say skipping the part about johnson bringing me flowers because my dad would get suspicious.
"Nice, I'm glad you made a friend that's a girl" he smiles.
"Dad what would you do if I had a boyfriend" I ask and his face goes from a smile to straight.
"You have a boyfriend?" He asks.
"No I'm just asking what would you think if I did" I say.
"No no boyfriends no guys nothing" he says.
"But what if you really liked the guy?" I ask.
"I wouldn't." He says.
"But what if you did?"
"Where are you going with this Lilly?" He asks.
"It doesn't matter" I say.
"No it does matter, who's the guy?" He asks. I never talked to my dad about stuff like this.
"Nobody" I say.
"It's johnson" he says.
"No" I deny it even though I could feel myself blushing.
"Better not be nate" he says.
"Almost was" I mutter under my breath.
"What?" He asks
"What?" I Copy getting up and leaving the room.

I woke up to the sound of a basket ball being bounced. I rubbed my eyes and sat up. All the guys were outside playing basket ball. I checked my phone and it was 12:30...wow I slept in late.
I got out of bed and put on my bra, my clothes were decent enough to go down in since I slept in t shirts and yoga pants. I pulled my hair up and tied it before walking down the stairs. My parents weren't home, as normal. I walked outside and the guys were too into their game that they didn't notice me.
I sat on the steps of the front porch watching them. It was really fascinating to me how good they were, I was always terrified I'd get hit in the head with the ball.
johnson saw me and started walking to me, I stood up and he hugged me. Until I heard gilinsky yell.
"Dude you just leave me like that?!" He says as Sammy steals the ball away from him.
"Sorry" I laugh.
"Why are you in your pajamas?" Johnson asks me.
"Cause you guys woke me up" I say.
"Sorry babe" he says kissing me.
"Hey! Hands off!" Sam yells.
I slap jacks butt and glare at Sam.
"Well then" nate laughs.
after a few minuets everyone came inside.
I made myself and the guys iced coffee and sat on the couch.
"So how's you and Sadie?" I ask
"Going on a date tomorrow" gilinsky smirks.
"She's a nice girl don't frick it up" I say.
"Wow thanks" he laughs. I set my cup down and lay my head on jacks lap. I was literally half asleep.
He played with my hair cause he knew I love it and we were all on our phones.
"How do you have more twitter followers than me?" I complain to johnson.
"Because I'm hot" he says.
"I'm hot too" I say hitting his leg.
The door opens and in walks my dad on his lunch break.
"Dad I put an ice coffee for you in the fridge" I say and he gets his coffee and a sandwich.
"I gotta go, I'll be home around 6" he says and leaves.
"Bye" I say and he shuts the door.
I sat up and locked my phone.
"You do realize that when I said come over tomorrow I didn't mean come over and bring everyone else with you right?" I laugh.
"I am offended" nate says.
"It's not that I don't want to hang out with you guys it's that I just wanted to hang out with jack" I say.
"Mmhmm" gilinsky pouts.
"Come on let's go upstairs and we can watch YouTube and netflix" johnson says.
"YAAAS" I say and jump up.
We go up to my room and I connect my iPhone to my tv and go on YouTube.
I play pewdiepie and lay with jack.
We watched half of the beyond two souls series and it was now 6 pm.
"Did we really just watch pewds for 5 hours?" I laugh.
"Yep" he says.
I cuddled into jacks side and laid my head on his chest.
"I love you" I say.
"This is very confusing" he says.
"Why?" I ask.
"Because I love you alot" he says.
"And?" I say confused at where he was going.
"And will you be my girlfriend Lilly?" He smiles at me.
"Of course" I smile and kiss him.

the guys left an hour ago and I was in sams room playing zombies with him.
"What?!" I scream in a very high pitch.
"You killed me!!! How dare you!!!!" I yell at him.
"Lilly that's the point of the game!" He laughs.
"Rude" I say sitting back.
"Poor sport" he says.
"Bye" I yell walking out the door to hear him laughing at me. I go in my room and grab my phone, laying back on my bed.

L- that's no answer!!!!

I locked my phone and went to sleep.

"Kids come down here!!!" I hear my mom yell. It was only 10 am and I just woke up. So I sleepily walked down stairs.
"Yes?" Sam asks sitting next to me on the couch as our parents sat on the couch on the other side of us.
"We have something to tell you and you will be mad but it is not up for discussion." my mom says and I start to get worried.
"Well?" I say wanting them to get to the point.
"We got an amazing offer, and were moving to la" my dad says smiling and I instantly stand up.
"No!" I yell.
"What?!" Sam says sitting up.
"Were moving in two weeks" my dad says.
"I can't do that! I cant!" I say starting to cry.
"Why? It will be so fun for you!" My mom says.
"What about my friends and my boyfriend?!" I yell not thinking of what I was saying.
"Boyfriend?" My dad says.
I fall back on the couch and put my head in my hands.
"Jack asked me to be his girlfriend, and I said yes. I can't move" I say lifting my head.
"Well that's not my problem" my dad says.
"Are you kidding me?!" I say angrily.
"Were leaving in two weeks" my dad says walking out of the room.
"I hate everything!" I yell running to my room.
L- come over now.
Jacky poo- is everything okay?
L- no please come.
Jacky poo- on my way.
I wait for jack and within 5 minuets he walks through my door.
"Hey what's wrong?" He asks sitting next to me and pulling me into him.
"Jack I really don't want to say this..." I start.
"What is it baby?" He asks.
"I'm, I'm moving to LA" I say.
"What?" He says.
"In 2 weeks" I say.
"What why?" He asks.
"They apparently got a good deal, I hate my dad." I say.
"We finally get togther after years and now you're leaving.." Jack says sadly.
"I wish there was something I could do" I say.
There was a knock on my door and Sam walks in.
"Hey" he says quietly sitting on the end of my bed.
"Hey" I say back.
"I thought I should talk to you about this before I go talk to mom and dad..." Sam says.
"Okay?" I say waiting for him to talk.
"I'm 18 now Lilly, and I think I should get an apartment down here before you guys move away" he explains.
"Seriously?" I say starting to cry again.
"Lilly don't you want the best for me?" He asks.
"Of course Sam but really? Now? Why do you have to move out now?! I'll have no one! I'm losing my friends, my family, my brother, my boyfriend, I will be all alone!" I say crying even more.
"You're not losing us" jack says.
"Lilly you'll make plenty of friends!" Sam says.
"Sam, the only friends I have are because of you. I have my boyfriend because of you. I will be completely alone" I say.
"Tell you what, you go live in LA for six months. If you don't like it, you can come Back and live with me" he says.
"Seriously?!" I say excitedly.
"Yeah do you really think I could go a long time without seeing my little sister?" He smiles at me.
"Thankyou sam" I say hugging him. And he leaves the room.
"But I'm still going to have to leave you guys for 6 months" I frown.
"We can skype and text everyday, it'll be just like you're here" he says kissing my lips.
"Hopefully" I smile.
