My Only Hope

Chapter 16

"Guys I'm going to go change and I'll be back" I say to the guys, as we were getting ready to go to the photoshoot.
I went to my house and up to my room. I put on a pair of shorts and a grey shirt. I brushed out my hair and brushed my teeth before heading back to their house.
"You guys ready yet?" I ask.
"I ammmm" Nash says walking into the living room.
"Let's stop by Starbucks before we get there" cameron says walking down and we go to the car and drive to Starbucks.
"A Carmel frappaccino Vinti, iced chai tea Vinti, and strawberry and creme frappaccino Vinti." Cameron's says.
We pay and get our drinks.
"Gimme some" I say trying Cameron chai tea. and he takes my Carmel frappaccino. then we trade back.
"True friendship" he laughs.
"Well I see where I stand" Nash says.
"Do you want some of my drink?" I ask.
"No ew" he says.
"What do you think I have cooties?" I ask.
"Yes." He says flatly and I laugh.
We get to the photography studio and go inside.
"Oh my goodness!" I gasp at the backdrop we had. There was a floral backdrop with a matching floral chair, they knew I loved anything with flowers.
"Oh yay" Cameron says sarcastically.
"Shush I love this!" I say as Lisa walks in the room.
"I knew you'd love it" she says.
"I really do" I say.
"But you'll love the outfit even more" she says pulling it out. It was a hot pink crop top with high waisted black pleather pants and lime green pumps.
"Holy crap this is awesome!" I say grabbing the outfit.
"And this is yours" she says holding Cameron's outfit. It was a lime green and dark green stripped tank top and black skinny jeans with rips in them and black shoes.
We both get changed and I loved the outfit even more once I had it on.
I sat down for my hair and makeup to be done. They put my hair into milk maid braids and did neutral eyes with a pink lip.
It was time to take pictures, I handed my phone to Nash and went in front of the amazing floral backdrop. They set me on the chair and posed me and took pictures, I took a few single pictures like that before going over to the plain backdrop and getting pictures done with Cameron.
These photos were more best friend rather than relationship which I liked. Cameron was like my best friend, but did not take the place of nate, and gilinsky of course. It was weird though. Nash was a lot like gilinsky is the way of being really sassy and playing a lot of jokes and being nicely rude. And Cameron is like nate, he's more quiet about himself, but will open up every now and then.
I kept thinking about what would happen once I get back. Will they have found a new best friend? Will our friendship be the same? I seemed to have gotten distracted because Cameron lightly nudged me.
"You good?" He asks.
"Oh yeah, sorry" I Laugh and we finish taking pictures. When we were done I changed back into my clothes and we left. I saw I had a huge bunch of pictures and videos on my snapchat story and looked a them. A bunch of funny pictures of Nash.
"Will I ever be able to trust you with my phone and know you won't spam my friends?" I ask.
"Uhhh, probably not" he says
"Lame"
We get back to the house.
"Guys I have to go" I say
"Aw why?" Cameron frowns.
"I promised jack I'd skype him, see you tomorrow?"
"Okay bye" they say and I walk into my house.
"How'd the photo shoot go?" My mom asks.
"Pretty good, we got some really cute pictures" I say.
"Sam texted me and said jack is going insane not being able to Skype you" she laughs.
"I'll get right on that" I say walking up to my room calling jack on skype.
J- hiiii!!!!!!!!!
L- hey, sorry I couldn't skype you last night, but I got home as soon as I could
J- that's fine babygirl. How was the photoshoot?
L- oh my gosh the clothes were so cute I think I might actually buy the outfit once it comes out.
J- I got some bad news
L- what is it?
J- Sam got a girlfriend.
L- why is that bad?
J- she's so rude, she's conceited, she thinks she's a princess and has power over everyone, she tried telling Sam that he couldn't hang out with nate anymore because he looked like a violent person.
L- I hate her already! Once I get down there I can promise you I'll fix it.
J- everything will be better once your back
L-except I'll be 17, me and nate will be drifted apart, gilinsky will be too busy with Sadie to give me the time of day, Sam will have his devil girlfriend, and you may not like me anymore.
J- okay hold up I love you to death first of all. Nate misses you like hell but won't admit it. You know Sam would chose you over his girlfriend any day. And gilinsky has even told me that you're way more fun to hang out with than Sadie
L- seriously? Well then I didn't think you guys would miss me as much as I miss you.
J- it sucks..
L- it really does..
We continued to talk on skype for hours. And when I say hours I mean until 1 am.
L- jack it's 3 am there. I'm going to let you go to sleep.
J- I wish I could properly kiss you goodnight
L- me too, night jack
J- goodnight Lilly
I hang up and realized how tired I was, me and jack could talk for hours and never run out of things to say, we either talked about what we thought would happen later in life, to our favorite foods, to fantasy, to memories. I thought about everything we talked about before I fell asleep.

*jack johnson pov*
The past two months have been a living he'll not having Lilly around. I never thought I'd miss her this much. I am packing my bags for the long plane ride to la would be exhausting. But it's all worth it to see Lilly.
"Tell Lilly I said hi and give her a hug for me Sam says. "Will do" I say putting my laptop in my carry on bag. "Ready to go?" I ask gilinsky. "Yep" he says and we head outside, say goodbye to everyone and leave for the airport.
*lillys pov*
Today me and Cameron had a huge shoot, It was going to be cool because we got to pick out our own outfits and it would be up as 'our suggestions' for shoppers to buy, and we got to keep the outfit after.
We were in the clothing. Room looking through and putting an outfit together. Cameron got burgandy shorts with a plain top. I got a purple loose fitted crop top, with black skinny jeans and flats, and a cute black hat.
We went out, got our hair and makeup done and did the shoot.
*jack Johnson's pov*
*pretend the flight didn't take ages.*
We finally got to la and lillys mom picked us up from the airport.
"Lilly is at a shoot with Cameron and Nash, she texted me the shoot was over around. 3 minuets ago so she should be home within 10 minuets" she says pulling into their house.
We bring our bags In and greet her dad.
"Were gunna wait outside" I say and we walk outside and sit on the steps.
"Bro I'm so anxious" I say to gilinsky.
"Why?" He asks.
"I haven't seen Lilly in two months, I'm gunna be anxious." I say
*lillys pov*
We were almost back to the house and me and Nash were jamming to nicki Minaj.
We were dancing like crazy people and singing on the. Top of our lungs with all the windows down. We stop at their house and Cameron taps my shoulder as he turns off the car.
"Look" he says pointing to my house.
"No way.." I say opening the door really fast and running over there to see jack and gilinsky smiling super huge I jump into jacks arms and hug him.
"No way" I shriek hugging him tighter and I hear Cameron and Nash walk up.
"How are you here?!" I ask
"Well, jack got us tickets and I wanted to suprise you" jack says pulling away before kissing me.
I hug gilinsky super tight. "It's so amazing to see you guys!" I say smiling like an idiot.
"Ahem" I hear cameron cough behind me.
"Oh um, this is cameron and Nash" I say.
"These are the jacks, or well gilinsky and johnson" I say
they greeted eachtoher before walking in my house, I hugged jack one more time.
"I seriously can't believe your here" I say.
"I couldn't stay away babygirl" he says as we follow everyone else inside.
"Excited?" My mom asks.
"Oh my gosh yes" I say.
"I have something to show you!" I say to johnson pulling him upstairs.
We go in my room and I show him the collage of pictures I made of us when I moved here.
"Aw that's cute" he says.
"I seriously am so happy you're here" I say kissing him.
"Oh would you gust like some privacy or?" Nash says as the guys walk in.
"Shut up nash" I laugh sitting on my bed.
"Like I'm serious do you want us to leave you guys alone?" Nash asks.
"I don't care" I laugh.
"Okay see you later" Nash says pulling cam out of the room.
"See I told you they were cool" I say to jack as gilinsky sits down with us.
"Yeah they're fine" jack says.
"How long are you guys staying?" I ask.
"Two weeks" gilinsky says.
"You won't be here for my birthday" I frown.
"Well maybe I can find a way to stay an extra week" jack smiles at me.
"Okay we have so many things to do" I say.
"He'll yeah we do were in la baby" gilinsky says.
"But not today because I'm tired from the shoot" I say.
"Were tired from the flight" jack says
"Let's take a snapchat" I say taking out my camera and taking a selfie with them. I posted it saying 'reunited with bae and bestie'
"So, I finished that song.." Jack says.
"Really?" I ask excitedly
"Yep, gilinsky actually helped a bit too" he says.
"I didn't know you could rap?" I say.
"I can't, but I can sing a little" he says.
"Can I hear it?" I ask.
"Not quite yet" jack says.
"Rude" I say.
"But I love you" he says kissing my cheek.
"I should have brought sam" gilinsky groans.
"Jack has to deal with you and Sadie, you get to deal with me and jack for a little while" I say.
"But me and Sadie aren't constantly kissing and hugging and just, all over eachother." Gilinsky says.
"You may not notice it..."jack says.
"So is sams new girlfriend really as bad as jack described her?" I ask gilinsky.
"Oh yeah, she's horrible. She was saying crap about you coming back a-" jack cut him off.
"You weren't suppose to say anything" jack says.
"No what'd she say?" I ask.
"It doesn't matter" jack says
"I want to know" I say.
"She told us she would make your life a living hell if you came back because she wants all of sams attention.." Gilinsky says.
"We tried to tell Sam but he didn't believe us cause she acts like an angel around him" jack says.
"What a biotch" I say
"yeah, but if she tries to make your life a living hell I'll make hers even worse" jack says.
"Thankyou jackypoo" I say
"Jackypoo?" Gilinsky laughs.
"I told you not to call me that" jack pouts.
"You're only saying that cause gilinskys here" I say.
"No it's cute jackypoo" gilinsky says pinching jacks cheek and jack hits his hand away.
"Only Lilly can call me that" jack says.
"How are nate and Sam doing?" I ask.
"Nate is the same old nate, she's been a bit down that your gone, but nothing much has changed with him, And Sam, well, is constantly with his girlfriend. We don't all hang out much anymore" jack says.
"I hope things go back to normal when I come back" I say.
Cam💩: how's it goin??
L- great :) tomorrow we should all go to the beach or something ?
Cam💩: yeah sounds good
"You guys up for the beach tomorrow?" I ask.
"Were in la in summer, duh." Gilinsky says.
My phone started to ring.
"It's Lisa, the photography manager" I say answering it.
L- hi Lisa
Lisa: hey Lilly, I couldn't reach Cameron, but I'd like to do a very beachy photoshoot next weekend, you'll probably be wearing maxi dresses, you up for it?
L- yeah definantly, I'll let cameron know if you want
Lisa: yeah that'd be great, see you next week!
"Who is Lisa?" Gilinsky asks.
"My manager. me and cam are doing a photoshoot next weekend, you get to watch!" I smile.
"Yay I'm excited" jack says.
"It's so much fun" I say.
"I'm so proud of you babygirl, you've done so much without even realizing it. I though you moving to la would worsen your anxiety but honestly I think it's helped" jack says.
"Getting away from Jayden is a huge help that's for sure" I say.
"I'm gunna go explore and crap you two good?" Gilinsky asks.
"Yeah go ahead" I smile and he leaves.
"So any hot girls around here?" Jack asks and I hit his arm.
"Kidding kidding" he laughs.
"Not funny" I say.
Jack and I spent the whole rest of the day just talking and catching up about what I've missed since I moved to LA. He told me about how terrible Sam's new girlfriend is and honestly I did not want to go back just for that reason. But I know Sam wouldn't put up with someone who doesn't like me he never has but maybe since he's dating her he might. I wondered what it be like to Live with Sam. He's very overprotective just as my brother I can't even begin to imagine how overprotective he'd be if he was my guardian. I also started to think about Jaden what If I start having more more panic attacks and stress if I move back there.
I've had such a good time in LA and Cameron and Nash have been the sweetest people ever besides my best friends of course. the only thing that could make this any better was if the guys would just move down here but I know that would never happen we were all born in Omaha and we always wanted to stay there. I also started to wonder what would happen with my modeling job if I moved back to Omaha. What I did not get to model anymore? Those thoughts began to overwhelm me as I started to feel myself shaking and breathing heavily.
"You okay?" Jack asked me
"I just keep thinking about everything that's going to happen when I go back to Omaha am I going to get worsening anxiety and panic attacks because I'm in the same city as Jaden again? And I'm really worried about living with Sam and his girlfriend what if they stay together what if she hates me what if she really does make my life a living hell I don't know if I'll be able to handle that." I say
"Jaden's not going to be able to hurt you I will not let him be around you or talk to you or be anywhere near you. And I'll take care of Sam's girlfriend we can figure it all out. Just don't worry" he says
"And then I'm also going to miss Nash and Cameron.." I say.
"Your parents live down here, you can always visit them every once in a while" jack points out.
"I guess" I say.
"Let's not stress" jack says putting his hand on my knee. "Just focus on right now" he says and I calm down. Honestly jack was the only one, besides Cameron, that could keep me from having a panic attack. It just seemed like they both cared for me so much. But it almost felt like Cameron would miss me more than jack did.
I know, my whole life is back in Omaha. My boyfriend, family, friends, home, and memories. But I felt that I belonged here. in LA. I had awesome friends, an awesome job. And I was in LA, that's just an accomplishment in itself. Was I actually debating staying here? I think so. But no way would I tell jack.
Then I started to think of our relationship. Him living all the way in Nebraska and me in California? He's an adult now... He'll be busy with a job, and just doing adult things..yeah I'm graduated but I'm only 16. He's not going to have time for me like I do for him. Living far away will make that even worse.
"Jack?" I say
"Hmm?"
"When we move in together, some day, would you consider moving out of Omaha?" I ask.
"I mean, I don't plan on it, why?" He asks.
"No reason" I say.
"Be honest with me lilly? Don't you want to go back?" He asks.
"Jack all my friends and stuff are there yes. But my bad memories are there too. Ever since I moved to LA it's like I've gotten to start all over again. And Look at me, I have lower anxiety, a job, friends, I'm in LA jack." I explain.
"I know LA may seem good at the time, but you're going to be an adult soon. Things that bother you in Omaha won't be a big deal anymore. Jayden's name won't even cross your head. Every thing that's holding you from going back now, will be better as time goes. Is this really what you want? Busy streets and tons of people? That may be it now. But in a few years from now, you're going to want to settle down in a nice place and I don't think this is it. But if it does end up being it, of course. I'd be willing to do anything to make you happy" he says.
"Could I have ever gotten a better boyfriend?" I ask.
"Probably not" he says and I laugh.
*camerons pov*
When lillys boyfriend showed up I felt my heart sink. I hated that I had feelings for her. It's was so difficult to hide them. That's why I said that me and Nash should leave. I knew I couldn't handle it. I don't know why we made plans for the beach tomorrow. I just need to accept the fact that me and Lilly are best friends and that's it.
"Bro you okay?" Nash asks.
"Yeah why?" I say
"Well you seem mad but it's cool" he says
"I'm not mad, I'm upset" i say
"Why?" He asks
"You can't tell anyone" I say
"Dude we aren't in 6th grade, tell me" he says
"I really like Lilly" I say
"Obviously" he responds
"Huh" I say confused
"It's pretty obvious you like her." He says
"How?" I question
"Your always wanting to spend time with her, and when were not hanging out with her, you're talking about how fun and cool she is. And you're the one who instantly wanted to be friends with her" he says.
"You don't think she knows do you?" I ask
"I mean she could but probably not, you should tell her" he says.
"You're an idiot" I say.
"C'mon maybe she'll choose you" he says.
"I don't want her to choose me. I want her to be happy with her boyfriend, I'm not that kind of guy that's willing to ruin a relationship to make myself happy." I explain.
"Whatever" Nash says and I roll my eyes.

*lillys pov*
Cam: you all wanna go out to Panera or something?
"Wanna go get Panera with Nash and cam?" I ask jack.
"Sure" he says and I text cam back saying yeah.
Lilly: well meet you there in 10?
Cam: Kay:)
"Let's go" I say. We go down stairs and I grab the keys to my dads truck and throw them to johnson.
"Where you going?" My mom asks.
"Panera with the guys" I say.
We go out to the car and get in. I plug in my phone and play our playlist.
"I missed this" jack smiles pulling out of the driveway.
"Me too"
We get to Panera. I didn't see Cameron's car yet so we went inside. We got a table and sat and waited for them.
Soon cam and Nash walked in and sat at our table.
"Where's the other guy?" Nash asks.
"Oh jack is out exploring" I say.
"This whole two jacks thing is confusing" Nash laughs.
"Yeah it'll take some getting used to" I say.
"So how long have you known lilly?" Cameron asks jack.
"Since 8th grade, well 7th grade for her" jack says.
"Oh that's a long time" cam says.
"Off topic but Lisa wanted me to tell you that were having a photoshoot next weekend" I say
"Cool do you know what the theme is" he asks.
"Nope" I say.
"Okay"
"Also shave that thing off before the shoot" I say
"What thing?" Cam asks.
"That little thing on your lip" I laugh.
"But he's my friend" cameron pouts.
"Well your friend is about to die" I say
The waiter come to our table, he had a baby pink hair do.
"Hey guys what can I get you" he smiles super big.
We all order what we want.
"I'll get that for you" he smiles and winks at Cameron before walking away.
I quietly laugh and Cameron looks at me wide eyed.
"Awe someone has a crush on cam" I laugh.
"I like females" cam says.
"Well he doesnt" jack laughs
"Here's your drinks" the guy says setting our drinks down.
He set mine, jacks, and Nash's down but held Cameron's up for him to grab. When Cameron went to grab it, the guy smirked at him touching his hand and I had to hold in my laugh.
The guy walked away and I was basically dying.
"Come on Lilly be mature" cameron says.
"we both know that if it was Nash he was hitting on you'd be laughing too" I say
"Okay yeah" Cameron says.
We get our food and eat. Jack has gotten to know Nash and Cameron very well and they all seemed to get along real well.
Eyebrows👀: where are you guys?
L- we went out to Panera
Eyebrows👀: without me?!
L- sorry!!!😒
Eyebrows👀: you make me sad.
"Only one thing could make this better" I say
"And what is that?" Cam asks
"If nate and Sam were here"
"If Sam came he would have brought his devil girlfriend though" Jack says
"I already have to deal with Jayden and every girl in Omaha hates me. And now I have this" I sigh
"Every girl hates you? How?" Cameron asks
"Well firstly because I'm best friends with all the guys they like, and because I don't follow everything that they do. If your not like every other girl then your not liked" I say
"Well their just jealous" Nash says
"Not much to be jealous of" I say under my breath.
Jack let's put a little laugh looming at me like I'm crazy.
"They have every reason to be jealous" Jack says.
The check comes and we pay before walking out to the truck.
"See you guys tomorrow!" I say to ca. And Nash before getting in.
We drive back to the house and go inside.
"We're baaaack" I say as Jack sets the keys down.
Gilinsky comes out with a pouty face.
"Cmon eyebrows don't do this" I somewhat laugh.
"Panera is our thing tho" he pouts
"Okay you big baby we can go tomorrow or something" I say and he smiles super big.
"Let's watch movies!!" I say excitedly since we haven't had our special movie nights since I moved.
"Okay what do you wanna watch?" Jack asks sitting on the couch as I walk to the movie stand. Gilinsky starts looking with me.
"Oh my god can we watch Bambi" he says excitedly.
"Seriously?" Jack says
"Yes!" I say and put the Bambi disk in.
"You two are like children" Jack says
"Jack we know you wanna watch it too" I say sitting down next to him.
"Maybe a little" he mumbles and i laugh.
The movie stands and soon me and gilinsky were in tears when Bambi's mother died. That's right. Gilinskys secretly a softie.
We continued to watch Disney movies all night until we all fell asleep.
