-Chapter 43- Missing You

Basti's POV

It's been weeks since the last time I was with Princess but still I can't get used to not seeing her. Nagtataka nga ako sa sarili ko kung bakit ako ganito kaapektado. Kung tutuusin, saglit na panahon lang kaming nagkasama but those were the times I consider as the happiest days in my life.

Naalala ko, sinabi sa akin ni Princess noon na dito siya pumupunta sa Disneyland tuwing namimiss niya ang pamilya niya sa Pilipinas kaya nandito ako ngayon, naglalakad ng mag-isa.

I stopped by infront of the Parachute Drop and a memory flashed back through my mind; how she screamed and nagged me when I teased her. Napapangiti nalang tuloy ako. 

Kamusta na kaya siya ngayon? It's been almost a month and yet I've never heard anything about her since she left. I tried contacting her but she's been out of reach. Iniiwasan niya ba ako? Is this because she hates being in a long distance relationship?

I sighed deeply as the smile vanished off my face. We could work this out if she would have agreed with me.

"Basti!?"

Napalingon ako sa tumawag sa akin. I was surprised to see my cousin walking towards me. I tried to manage a smile as she was approaching me but it would surely turn out to be an awkward smile so I brushed it off anyway.

"Hey, Ate Gail. What's up?"

She pulled herself towards me and gave me a cheek to cheek greeting. Siya si Ate Crystal Gail Rivera, my not so close cousin on my dad's side. Hindi ko siya close dahil intimidating siya pero mabait naman siya. The last time we saw each other was at her daughter's 10th birthday which happened few months ago. Well, to cut it off, I'm closer with her brother, Kuya Louis.

"Nandito ka na naman. Hindi ka na ba nagsasawa dito?" nakangiti niyang tanong sa akin.

"Dito na naka-based si Dad so, dito na rin ako for good, Ate. Ikaw, how are you? Are you with someone?"

She pursed her lips in surprised. "Oh my! Oo nga pala. Kasama ko si baby love pati sina never mind... Wait. Nasaan na ba 'yon?" saka siya lumingon at... "Ayan na pala siya. Baby love, over here!"

And there, a guy stopped and turned around. It was her husband. He walked towards us cooly. Hinawakan agad ni Kuya Kurt si Ate Gail sa kamay bago siya humarap sa akin. 

"Basti? What're you doing here?"

I smiled a little. "I moved here for good. Kayo lang? Nasaan ang mga anak niyo, Ate?"

Then, Ate Gail clapped her hand over her mouth in shock. "Oh my ghad! Oo nga pala, baby love," she said to her husband before she glanced at me. "I am really sorry, Basti but we have to go. Hinahanap nga pala namin ang mga anak namin."

"Nice meeting you here, dude," sabi naman ni Kuya Kurt bago niya hinila si Gail paalis.
