Chapter Twenty Three

Hunter's POV:

  It's been officially two weeks today and it's Friday yet again. I've have currently been going to Hexside for three weeks now.

  On more important matters, Edric and I have been getting even closer.

  The walk to school wasn't as bad as it is usually. I'm actually feeling pretty confident about today.

  "Hey Blondie boy! Come over here!" That one girl, Viney, yells. "Oh, hey guys."

"Heyy, Hunter, we need to talk to you real quick. Sit down," Viney pats a spot on the steps next to Edric.

  "Soo, what did you all need anyways?" "We were all planning on having a little sleepover tomorrow, and we were wondering if you wanted to come or not?" I think about it for a couple seconds. "Yeah, sure, I'll probably have to ask my Uncle first though. I'll go call him right now, be right back!"

  Really not feeling like having to talk to him today, but it is what it is. I click on his number and wait for him to answer. This is giving a deju vu feeling right now.

  "Hello, Belos," "What do you need, Hunter? I have things I need to do." "I was wondering if I could go over to my friends house tomorrow?"

  "Who all will be there?" Belos asks. "I think that it will just be Edric, Emira, Viney, Jerbo, and I." "Edric and Emira, as in the Blight twins?" "Yes, sir." He pauses for a second. "Alright, you may go, but if I find out you're doing anything wrong, you will be severely punished. Understood?" "Understood."

  That whole thing went better than I expected it to go. I walk back over to where my friends are sitting. It's weird to be able to call them my friends.

  "I'm able to go! I didn't think my Uncle would actually let me." "Woo! This is going to be amazing!" Edric exclaims.

  "You'll need to be at there by around eleven am. "Alright then, but whose house is it going to be at?" "Our house, obviously!" Edric and Emira say in unison. "They have the biggest house out of all of us." Jerbo explains for me.

  "And just so you all know, this is like the second sleepover I've ever been too." I say. "Oh, how long ago was the other one?" Emira asks. "Around two weeks ago, Edric stayed the night." The rest of them look at each other with smug grins.

  The school day passes by in a flash and everybody starts heading home.

  As soon as I get home, I throw my bag onto my bedroom floor.

  "Guess what, Rascal?" Rascal gives me a little chirp. "This weekend I'm going to a sleepover!" I flop down on my bed. I'm probably a little too excited about this, but whatever, I'm actually happy for once!"

  "Shit, I need to go give Belos my report, be right back, Rascal."
