Hunter's POV:

  "Here's your blankets kid. Sorry about how messy and dirty the room is," The Owl Lady apologizes. "Nah, it's fine, don't worry about it. Thank you again, for everything." Era sits on the bed next to me. "Kid, look at me, don't thank me, it's the least I could do. Your entire situation is straight dog shit and I want you to turn out better than what Belos wanted."

  "I-I just, I feel so bad about intruding on your life with my shitty life-" Eda abruptly pulls me into a hug. I didn't realize I had started crying until she did that. "Stop apologizing, right now. None of this is your fault. I'm wanting you to have a new life, with us, instead of being brainwashed by Belos." She stands up. "I'm going to go downstairs and make some dinner. If you need anything, just call me, okay?" I nod. "Now, get settled in your new room."

  Eds is a lot nicer than I thought she would be. Don't get me wrong she seems like she would be nice, but the way she treated me all of those times I saw her. Yeah, I wasn't the nicest in our past encounters, but still.

  This day is turning out to be the absolute worst. I flop down on the bed in my new room. After a few minutes of hesitating, I pull out my scroll and text Edric.
