Chapter Ten

Hunter's POV:

  I'm on time for first hour, hooray for me. I left a little too early, so I was early to get to school. It sucked; I was sitting alone for like ten minutes. Edric walks in the second the bell rings. "Technically, I'm not late. I got here before the bell rang." He slides into the empty seat next to me. "Should've been here earlier, I was alone for a while." "Oops, sorry about that. Emira was paranoid about her hair and wouldn't leave the house. I had to wait for her to stop complaining." "Haha, couldn't be me. I don't have any siblings." He glares at me. "Wow, life of a spoiled child, not fair." "I'm not really spoiled, and I don't get much attention from anybody." "Oh shit, sorry man."

  I get class over and done with; it took forever by the way. "Soo, Blondie, wanna hang out later? Last time it sucked since you had to go home. If you don't want to, you don't have to." "Oh sure. Do you want to go over to my house this time?" "Yeah! I wanna see what your house looks like." "Let me just ask my uncle real quick. If I don't, he's gonna be pretty angry at me if I bring home a random stranger." I have no idea how I'm going to ask Belos. 

  I pull up Belos's contact and call him. "What do you need? I am busy at the moment." "Oh, I just wanted to ask you something." "Make it quick." "Could one of my friends come over after school today?" I'm really hoping he says yes. "Who is the friend you're talking about?" "Edric Blight, one of the oldest Blight children." The Blight family is really well known in the Emperors Coven. "Fine, but if anything happens, it is your responsibility." He hangs up before I could say anything else. 

  "Good news, you can come over." "Yes! I just have to let my dad know about this; he'll tell my mom when she gets home." He calls his dad and explains everything that we're doing. "Alright, it's all planned out, my dad's okay with it." "Good, but uh, first I need to explain a couple of things."
