Chapter Thirty-Two

Hunter's POV:

  "Hey, Goldie, just know that I don't want to be doing this, my mom made me." Emira seems like she hates me.  Edric, Emira and I have started the mission and now are walking around some forest. "Bro calm down, I don't want to be doing this either." Hopefully Belos doesn't find out about what I'm doing right now. I take off my mask. "Heeeyy, I'm guessing you weren't suspecting this huh?" I love seeing people's reaction to this. "Wait what, dude I'm so confused." Edric starts laughing. "Edric why are you laughing? Did you already know about this?" "Yeah, pretty much, he already told me." "Sorry about that, I was wanting to tell you but, I couldn't find a good enough time to actually bring it up." We sit down on some rocks. "Nah it's fine, I'm just a little shocked. Do the others know?" "Not yet, planning on telling them though."

  "How long until eleven? My legs hurt and we haven't found any 'wild witches'." "Now you know how I feel every day. But anyways, there's like two hours left." Edric sits down on the ground. "So why are you going to Hexside if you're the Golden Guard?" Emira asks. "It's another mission I'm forced to go on, I have to make sure nothing bad is happening there. I think Belos just sent me on it so he doesn't have to deal with me during the day." The last part is very true, Belos will find any reason for me to get out of the castle for the day. "Oh, well are you enjoying going to Hexside?" "Yeah, I guess, at least I can talk to people my age for once. I'm not really allowed out that much, and when I'm on patrol I can't really talk to anybody. It sucks."  

  "Alright we should start heading back. We have about ten minutes till eleven." "This was pointless, we didn't find anything." Edric is always complaining about something, but it's usually funny. "Yeah, how long will this last?" "I don't know, probably around a month. If we don't find anybody it might just go on for around two or three weeks."

  The Blights went home with their parents, and I'm back up in my room again. I'm pretty happy about how things went tonight. We didn't have to fight anyone, and I got to spend time with Edric. Why am I so happy about Edric, I have no idea? 

  Rascal starts chirping loudly. "Rascal, quiet down! Do you want Belos to find out about you?" I whisper yell. He starts quieting down. "Sorry for yelling, I just don't want Belos to, you know," I'm talking about Belos basically inhaling Rascal. "I'm going to go to bed, I still have school in the morning. Goodnight." Rascal chirps in response.
