A giant dragon-like demon stands where Sumire was.
Haruto: Sumire...?
The dragon releases a deafening roar.
Jufuto: What an interesting form you've taken. Karakin, it's time.
Karakin: Yeah. Let's go.
Karakin covers himself in feathers, becoming a giant metal bird. He shoots feathers at Sumire as he picks Jufuto up and flies towards the mountains. The dragon follows them.
Haruto: No...
Between the entire group of slayers that went on the mission in Asahikawa. There was only one casualty, the demon slayer Mo, rank Tsuchinoto. A funeral was held. The slayers are now staying at an estate near the HQ. It has been about a month since the Asahikawa incident.

Haruto walks out of a room.
Haruto: I just spoke with Tamayo about the situation. She said that she's been working on a demon to human cure, she's going to try and incorporate that into a drug that'll free Sumire, if we can.
Tatara: I just spoke to the higher ups. They actually have a lead on where the dark moons might be after we told them the direction Sumire flew, it correlates with the general area some high ranking demon slayers went missing, they were investigating the dark moons on this mission so it all adds up quite nicely.
Haruto: So where is it?
Odataki: Mount Tomuraushi.
Haruto: That's not too far. We're going to head out over there!
Haruto walks into another room with everyone else sitting at a table.
Tatara: HARUTO WAIT.
Haruto: Hm?
Tatara: We have to wait. They said about an hour and a half to set out, and don't forget Tamayo's cure!
Haruto: You're right, sorry.
Everyone sits down at the table.
Yuri: Takeshi got quite some injuries.
Odataki: Will he be alright?
Yuri: He should be, however.
Kinoku: What is it?
Yuri: I don't think he'll be able to go on this next mission. The one to the dark castle.
