Elle
"Did you really sign those papers!?"
"Pack your things and get out of my office.
"Elle, what the heck are you doin-"
"She can't fulfill her duty." I cut my cousin off as I drop my pen on the table. "That's her only job. Fix my schedules and don't get me disturbed when I'm busy. Tapos hindi nya pa magawa ng maayos. If she can't keep unwanted visitors out of my office, she got no place here. I am not keeping someone who is not even competent enough to do as I say."
Akala ko ba, they only want the best for me? Why are those people so incompetent?
I don't think it's just and fair to fire your secretary right away because of that."
"Then it's your fault that she can't do her job well, not mine. Hire her if you want. She got no more place left here."
"Elle!"
"Do you want to have an appointment with me, Ms. Calvry? I don't remember having any from the finance team setting an appointment with me this afternoon. Unless, of course, my incompetent and unreliable, few-minutes-ago, secretary forgot to inform me earlier." She should stop addressing me informally inside our work premises.
Oo, pinsan ko sya. Pero inside this office, we are both holding positions that are within our capabilities. She can't just barge in as she wants. Isa pa itong unprofessional at unethical.
Tumiim yung tingin sakin ni Elise. Sunod-sunod na napailing. "That's too cold."
I shrug my shoulders. "I don't even remember being too hot to you. Do we need to have casual pleasantries before moving forward to what brought you here? If you can't see it, then let me tell you that I'm busy."
It's been years since I've taken over our family business. It's too hard for her to land a job matapos nang mga bad write-ups nito sa mga kapitalista noong nag-aaral pa kami.
Elise is a well-known writer that's writing anything against the oligarchs and rich families na puro kapitalismo at pagpapahirap sa mahihirap na empleyado ang ginagawa.
No wonder no one wants her to be a part of their company. Lalo pa at hirap banggain ang mga Calvry because of my mother.
Kung seniority lang ang pag-uusapan, she had no rights to question the way I am running our business.
"Did you really sign the project?"
