Hughs POV:
I love the gardens near our home. The only place we can go without any chance of us getting injured or harmed...sometimes.
Ever since Fiona was rescued I have never left her side, ever.
I lost her once and I won't ever lose her again.
This mantra is stuck in my head at all times.
I was walking down the aisles of flowers and my eye caught a bromelaid. I plucked it gently and kept moving forward till I saw her.
She was busy working in her newest addition in the garden since we rescued her.
It was gorgeous. All of her work is. Even herself.
I snapped out of my daydreaming when she made eye contact with me. I noticed a stupid little grin on my face, but that didn't stop me from not smiling.
I run over and wrap her up in my arms.
She laughs.
"Hugh, what are you doing?" She says full of laughter.
"What's it look like?" I reply.
"Hugh, it's been a month since that all came down. You need to relax." She says gently.
"I know but I-"
" 'Can't afford losing you again' I know, I know." She interrupts. "But you should try spending more time with the others and take a little break, okay?"
"I don't know.."
"I mean we both have different work to get done and it's only going to cost you a lot of work if you keep this up." She explains. "I'm not mad at you and I hope you know I love you, but you have work to do mister so go!"
She laughs and gives me a playful shove.
I couldn't help but laugh back.
"Okay, Okay I'm going!"
And as I walk out the garden I think of what she said.
I love you....
I love you too...
