مرض أديسون والطب البديل
وتستخدم العديد من المواد في علاج مرض اديسون ومنها استخدام عرق السوس ( licorice ) وهو يستخدم منذ القدم في هذا المرض , فعرق السوس يحتوي على مادة شبيهة بالكورتيزون . والجدير بالذكر ان المواد السكرية التي يحويها هذا النبات لا تتطلب زيادة في هرمون النسولين في الجسم , ويستخدم مرتين في اليوم لاعطاء الجسم القوة في ذلك اليوم .
اما الطبيب ويليام ميتشيل صاحب كتاب " plant medicine in practice" ان الاعشاب المفيدة في علاج هذا المرض هي التي تسبب تكيفا يحدث للجسم ويمكنه من امكانية تحمل الضغط النفسي الفيسيولوجي , ومن امثلة هذه الاعشاب الشاي الاخضر والكركم وفطر يدعى " reishi" ونبتة اشواجندا ( ashwagandha ) وهي نبتة تنبت في الهند وفي امريكا الجنوبية .
ومن العلاجات المستخدمة ايضا نبتة لسان الثور , والجينسينغ سيبيريا والاستراغالوس والتي تدعم اداء الغدد الكظرية ويساعد على مساعدة الجسم في محاربة ضغوط الحياة العصرية , ويستخدم الزنجبيل في تخفيف اعراض مرض اديسون .
Addison's disease and alternative medicine
