[Emily and Jayla have entered a private chat]

Jayla: Steve told me what happened the other day with you and Anakin

Emily: yea, he's kinda been giving me the silent treatment. And I don't think it's helping that Easter was today

Jayla: that sucks

Emily: I know. So, feeling better?

Jayla: yep, Steve gave me an Easter Lily today

Emily: I've always wanted to have one of those, but they don't exist in my universe unfortunately

Jayla: I'll send you a nice pic of Kit Kat's face in the flowers later. Oh, so I heard about a certain someone leaving a certain boyband recently

Emily: oh yea that. I'm kind of under a strictly deep secret to not tell anyone the real reason for Zayn leaving. He specifically told me to not say anything to anyone and I plan to keep it that way. And he is my brother-in-law, so that makes it all more the reason to not disobey orders

Jayla: trust me, I had to keep the secret of how Coulson lived for more than a year, and it was not easy because of how close I am to him

Emily: does he even know you ran away?

Jayla: sort of. We have this plan worked out that if I were ever in danger, I would run away to one of the safe houses we agreed on

Emily: so, Avengers Tower is a safe house?

Jayla: yea, I mean it's where my superhero buddies are, so if the threat were to come to here, I'd have the others to keep me safe

Emily: I'm assuming the "other" SHIELD is a threat to you then

Jayla: yep, not too happy with Bobbi and Mack right now, especially Mack. At least Bobbi attempted to not seem like bad guy. Mack, he chained Hunter to a bathroom sink. I mean c'mon dude, really?!

Emily: for the record, I thought it was a little funny

Jayla: yea, okay I'm sure it was. Anyway, how are the kids doing?

Emily: Mica's been keeping at her graphic design hobby. I think she wants to do that for a living instead of becoming a Jedi, but she hasn't said anything to me about it. Lela really looks up to Leia and has become really good at politics for her age. Ani just tinkers with whatever he can get his hands on

Jayla: do you ever use their real names?

Emily: not usually, but I have been saying Michaela more often than Mica because she's growing out of the nickname

Jayla: well, I don't think nicknames are a bad thing, in my opinion

Emily: I know same here, but maybe it's just me whom she doesn't want to be calling her by her nickname

Jayla: probably. Well, I'm getting tired, so I'm gonna head to bed now

Emily: alright, by the way, we are going through with telling them right?

Jayla: yea, I think it's about time they knew the truth

[Emily and Jayla have left the private chat]

Okay so I know it is technically Monday for many of you (it is for me too), but a promise is a promise. Even if it means updating your story at 12 in the morning because you were too busy playing Spelunky earlier to think about writing.
