37. I Want You Back

[Steve and Anakin have entered the chat]

Steve: (sadly) I wish Jayla would come back. I miss her so much

Anakin: dude, it's been three days

Steve: how would you like it if you didn't know when Padme was going to be back from something?

Anakin: it's happened to me before, but at least I've gotten used to it

Steve: (sighs) I think I just need another day or two

[Jayla has entered the chat]

Steve: OHMYGOSH!! Jayla, thank goodness you're on. You have been scaring me to death!!

Jayla: yea, I figured I could get a few minutes in today. But I'll probably leave unexpectedly because I'm hiding in a supply closet right now

Anakin: why?

Jayla: because I'm actually supposed to be fixing the electrical systems on the Bus. Coulson would get on me if he knew I was in the chat

Steve: why not just use the ear comm?

Jayla: because then it would look like I am talking to myself, and that would be really weird

Steve: well, I don't know about you, but I miss you so much right now.

Jayla: I know, I wish I could have told you I was leaving instead of having Pepper tell you. How is Kit Kat doing?

Steve: I think she misses you

Jayla: tell her I miss her too

Anakin: you talk to your cat?!

Steve: you wouldn't get it unless you had a pet, Anakin

[Emily has entered the chat]

Jayla: hey, Em

Emily: thank god, you aren't dead. I always freak out when people leave without telling me

Jayla: yea, Steve was just telling me the same. Crap gotta go

[Jayla has left the chat]

Emily: why'd she leave?

Anakin: she was slacking on her job

Emily: (rolls eyes)

Steve: I'm glad I got to talk to her even if it was a few minutes. In fact, I feel ten times better now

Anakin: glad to hear it!!

Emily: hey, Anakin have you played KotOR lately?

Anakin: no, why?

Emily: I am on Dantooine right now :D

Anakin: what?! How'd you get past that Sith governor?!

Emily: I'm not tellin'. All I'll say is to think big

[Anakin has left the chat]

Emily: you've played KotOR right, Steve?

Steve: yea, I'm on Dantooine too, but I have no idea what to do for that third Jedi trial

Emily: same thing with me

[Tony has entered the chat]

Tony: I thought you were gonna play Halo with me, Steve

Steve: maybe later. I'm gonna go play KotOR with Emily right now

Emily: switch to private chat

[Emily has switched to private chat]

Tony: why are you bailing on me?!

Steve: I said later Tony. That wasn't a no

[Steve has left the chat]

Tony: fine, I'll find someone else

[Clint has entered the chat]

Tony: Clint, you are playing Halo with me. I will not accept no as an answer

[Tony has left the chat]

Clint: I didn't even get to ask him if he wanted to play Nidhogg :(

So, I re-thought what I said a couple chapters ago about Jayla being in the chat. I decided she would show up in weekend updates and she'll definitely be back around Easter. Really it depends on what weeks Agents of SHIELD runs.
