WHILE IT WAS RAINING

- ' Oppa! You gotta eat something for god's sake- oh wait...for your crush's sake. '
Jungkook glared at his sister
- ' For the umpteenth time I'm telling you, he's NOT my crush! '
Somi rolled her eyes
- ' Okay whatever. Just eat now! You haven’t ate anything since yesterday night and even skipped your breakfast! What is this behaviour huh?! '
Jungkook rolled back on his bed
- ' I...just...don't want to eat. '
- ' Then I have to call Jack oppa and tell him-'
- ' Somi! Why hyung? '
- ' Because he's the one and only person you listen to...even a bit. '
Jungkook sighed and got up. Yeah... Somi wasn’t wrong. Apart from Jackson...he listens to none.
- ' I... Uh...what about him? '
- ' He's still not up. How can he eat lunch huh? '
Before Jungkook could answer, Mr. Jo came running inside the room
- ' My apologies young master and young mistress...but...our guest.. '
Both of the cousins got up and turned back to the middle-aged man
- ' What happened Mr. Jo? '
- ' He's..uh...he's up and - '
That's all it took for Jungkook to sprint out from his room towards the guest room, and Somi hurried behind.

As they neared the room, they could hear voices coming from the room

- ' Please be seated Sir. Young master - '
- ' Let me go! Listen, I don’t give a damn about your young master.  Who is he? Why he'll want me to stay in this room?! I need to go back to my apartment so leave me okay? '
- ' Sir please listen to us - '
- ' Tell your young master that Kim Taehyung doesn’t take orders. '

This is when Jungkook entered the room and was immediately hitted by a rushing out Taehyung. Thanks to Somi, who was just behind him and caught them ...otherwise both of the men would be laying on the floor by then.

For the sudden collision, Taehyung  stumbled forward, and in an attempt to stop himself from falling, he held Jungkook's shoulder. Jungkook on the other hand, to save Taehyung, wrapped his arm around the actor's torso.

The whole incident happened so abruptly that none understood it properly. But when Somi balanced Jungkook from behind, the men realised that they're standing dangerously close to each-other while holding the other one. Both of them jerked back and were embarrassed beyond level, and to normalise things, Somi gestured the attendants to leave the room.

- ' Uh.. I...I'm sorry Mr. JK. I...didn’t...uh- '
- ' No it's my fault....I'm....sorry..'

Somi was next level confused and shocked. This was the first ever time she's hearing her cousin to be this much polite to someone...and sorry!? That was a word she thought never existed in Jeon Jungkook's dictionary. But yeah.. he indeed said sorry to someone right infront of her eyes!

- ' How are you now? '
Jungkook's words drag her attention  back and she focused on the conversation infront.
- ' Better....'
- ' Oh...good. '
- ' I....thank you...for...everything you did. Sorry that I became a burden to you. And like I've said before...I'll find a way to pay you back Mr. JK. Now I really need to get going. '
As Taehyung finished, Somi clearly noticed a hint of disappointment in her brother's usually expressionless eyes
- ' Uh...no need for that Mr. Kim. And..'
Somi could hear his unspoken words, but also realise he was not able to say a single letter. Sighing to herself, she stepped in
- ' Mr. Kim....nice to meet you. '
With a bright smile, she extended her hand...and Taehyung shook it with a confused look.
- ' I'm Jeon Somi.... his cousin sister. '
Pointing to Jungkook, she said..and Taehyung gave a polite smile
- ' Nice to meet you too Miss Jeon. '
- ' I hope you're feeling better than before...that's why you're insisting on going to your home? '
- ' I'm totally fine now....and I must go. '
She gave an understanding nod
- ' Of-course...a man like you must be busy....and you'll indeed go back. But not before you're done with your lunch. '
Taehyung immediately opened his mouth to oppose, but Somi was quicker than him
- ' We can understand your hurry, but it'll be really disappointing for us if you leave without having lunch. You're our guest Mr. Kim...so please, do us this favour and let us be a good host. Please ...this is our cordial request to you. '
Her tone was humble yet firm...sophisticated yet warm. Taehyung fell in a indecisive  situation, and Somi gestured her brother to tell something. This is why Jungkook butted in while fumbling
- ' Uh...yeah...whatever she said...yeah. Uh...please have lunch with us....that's what...we mean. '
If Taehyung wasn’t present in the room, Somi would have killed her brother for the most awkward invitation in history....but Taehyung looked like he was convinced, so she stopped the plan to murder Jungkook.
- ' But....You've...done enough. No need to- '
- ' Please Mr. Kim. '
Again, Somi said with the same tone and Taehyung gave up
- ' Okay...if....you insist. '
- ' Thank you so much. Now..sorry for bothering you. We'll excuse us now and you can get ready now. '
With that, Somi left the room. Jungkook also turned to follow her, but was stooped immediately
- ' Uh...Mr. JK..?'
Jungkook turned back and found an embarrassed Taehyung
- ' I....I...am.....really...sorry....for... your inconvenience. I...uh..'
Jungkook could clearly see the hesitation in his eyes and embarrassment in his body language and assumed the man was not really habituated with saying sorry often.
- ' It's okay really...'
That's all Jungkook could mutter after thinking a whole lot paragraph in his mind. Taehyung looked down, clearly not convinced at all and for the first time in his life Jungkook was jealous of Somi for her smooth people skills. Sighing to himself, he left the room to let Taehyung  change into his clothes, which were dried  and pressed now, thanks to Mr. Jo.

Just as Jungkook left the room, Somi walked to him, with her phone in hand which she handed over to Jungkook, and before Jungkook could understand what is going on, he heard Jackson's voice from the other side.

- ' Kook, you there? '
- ' Hyung? What happened? You're supposed to be going to another patient now...right? '
- ' Yup..I'm on my way. But Somi told me that Kim Taehyung is up now and is adamant about going back to his home.'
- ' Uh....yeah..he is. '
- ' But he can't. I'll come to your house in 2-3 hours to do all his tests...and till then, he cannot leave. Make sure he stays, Okay? I need to go now... bye. '
- ' But how can I - hyung listen! Hyung?! '

Jungkook stared at the phone blankly, and Somi snapped her fingers infront of him.

- ' What Mr. Jeon dumb? Cat got your tongue? '
He frowned at his sister
- ' What was that about?! How the hell I'll make him stay huh? '
- ' That's your job dude. '
Somi said, rolling her eyes and earned one slap on her head
- ' Hey! Now what I did? '
- ' What you did!? Who told you to call hyung? '
- ' I did that because earlier in the morning, I clearly noticed how worried you were for the actor and wanted his tests to happen.  I can't just sit back and watch you panick.. I gotta do something. '
Jungkook looked down, knowing that Somi was absolutely right. Yup, internally he was worried about Taehyung and really wanted his tests... but couldn’t say it out loud. But how on earth he'll manage an impatient Taehyung to stay back for some more hours?
- ' What now? Do something to stop him.'
- ' I...I...what should I do? '
Somi facepalmed herself
- ' How on earth you're such an useless jerk oppa! '
- ' Somi!'
- ' Yeah yeah...don't shout. Now tell me... has he mentioned something he's interested in when he woke up in the morning? '
- ' How will that help? '
Somi groaned while rolling her eyes
- ' Ugh! When I call you dumb, I totally and fully mean it, okay?! '
Jungkook glared her, but again... she was never afraid of this man
- ' We need to occupy him somehow...  and if we could manage something he's interested in, then that would be better. So, any ideas? '
After thinking for a while, Jungkook remembered their conversation about him being a painter, and he told everything to Somi, whose eyes lit up immediately
- ' If he knows that you're this year's national artist, then he must be interested in arts...or even better, could be a fan of yours! I know what we need to do. But for now, let's just have our lunch. I'm hella hungry!  '

With that, Somi left for their dining room, and Jungkook slowly followed behind... the slight chance of Taehyung appreciating his works occupied his mind.
