i mean i knew he had stayed with his aunt and uncle after the accident. but i was still in slight shock as the two of us just stared at each other.

his eyes were soft and warm just as they were then. god i had missed him.

every day after the accident i had felt so guilty. so guilty for just disappearing. first his parents then his only friend? really?

it's cruel.

back then father wouldn't let me see him because of the anger he had towards his parent's death. and then just a few months later mother swooped me away...

i forced my body to move to my new seat behind him. those few steps our eyes never left each other. once i had plopped down in my seat i saw him shake his head as he scrambled through his bag. the faint sound of paper tearing filled my ears and then there was a note sliding onto my desk. i snickered to myself as the teacher began to speak. damn, my first day and i've already stopped listening. oh well! i quickly unfolded the paper to be met with the scribbled handwriting of peter parker.
