chapter eleven

it was now the last friday before the autumn break.

minho was currently sat in his maths class, wishing to be anywhere else.

for the whole day, the hours seemed to drag. luckily, this was his last class of the day and all he had to do was manage less than one more hour.

however, this week hadn't been the exiting lead up he had hoped for.

jisung had distanced himself from his friends and for some reason hadn't sat with them on either wednesday for lunch like he usually would.

no one had known why, and no one wanted to ask.

"so, i was talking with hyunjin and jeongin before," seungmin suddenly began as he turned round in his seat, placing his sheet onto minho and felix's desk to start working, "they have an idea why jisung is being distant."

felix lifted his head up attentively. "what why!?"
minho in turn lifted his up and gave seungmin a nod to continue.

"so you know siwoo? blue hair? tall? friends with hyunjin?" the pair nodded and seungmin cleared his throat.

"siwoo is also good friends with won-jae. apparently won-jae is visiting his family over the break and jisung's parents aren't letting him go as it's too far away. instead, they want to actually spend some time with him instead of losing him for the entire week."

felix ran a hand through his hair as he slowly understood, "no wonder he's so closed off, he's probably spending as much time with won-jae as he can."

minho was about to frown when he had a realisation.
"wait!" he smiled. "that means we can actually go out with jisung over the break!"

felix's face lit up as he restrained himself from screaming, they were still in class after all.

"that's perfect!" he smiled but seungmin tilted his head as he sighed. "but won't he still be upset to spend, what, six or seven nights alone?"

felix shook his head. "nuh-uh! we can have a sleepover at chaminhos!" he smiled as he turned to minho.

seungmin raised his eyebrows. "can we?"

minho didn't need to think twice. "i think it's a great idea, i'll ask chan and see what he says." he smiled as he pulled out his phone.

seungmin looked down at felix's work. "erm felix...we're meant to be working on the next section of the textbook."

felix shook his head. "i didn't finish that section, i was catching up on my geography work."

minho smiled to himself as he knew felix would always get distracted by having jisung in class with him. minho finished messaging chan and smiled at his friends.

"chan says he's more than happy to have the house full, he suggested doing it on the saturday night as it's a bit short notice tonight."

seungmin finished his work and proudly placed his pen down. "fine by me, i'll text hyunjin and jeongin and tell them about the plan. felix i'm sure you can tell changbin."

minho nodded. "lix, also text jisung now and ask him if wants to stay over tomorrow. he'll be happy to know you're going."

felix took his phone out of his fleece jacket and bounced his shoulders happily as he did so. once he was done, he looked over at minho and pointed at his work. "while we wait for his response, you can help me." he grinned.

minho laughed and began to help felix through his work. they soon managed to finish the previous work as well as get almost 3/4 of the way through todays worksheet.

felix heard a chime on his phone and lifted it out excitedly.

"ah i'm so excited!" felix smiled as he passed his phone from minho to seungmin.

minho felt himself smile. "i'll organise all the details with chan tonight and put it into the group chat."

seungmin sighed. "i just hope he's alright after coming back from the airport. i can imagine how upset he'll be after won-jae leaves him for the week."

minho looked at the two of them as felix frowned, "true he'll definitely be sad about it but don't forget, jisung has us right there with him."

he nudged felix who smiled in response, he was clearly ecstatic to get his bestfriend back.

the bell soon rang and the three boys finished packing all their stuff before walking down the corridor to leave the building.

"a whole week off!" felix exclaimed as he punched minho and seungmin's arms repeatedly.

minho held a fake scowl. "lix, don't make me regret inviting you." he teased.

felix rolled his eyes before smiling as they walked out to see hyunjin and changbin outside.

the rest of the group were thrilled to hear that jisung would be with them for a sleepover and spent the rest of the day looking forward to the weekend.

they were finally going to get their best friend back and they all vowed to themselves that it would be the best week possible.
