while jisung wasn't looking, minho had lifted out his phone to hastily text chan.

during the history lesson,  jisung had been keeping his focus out the window.

minho and changbin decided against talking to jisung about what had happened, but there was no doubt in their minds jisung was still thinking about it.

"ji?" changbin softly asked, "is there anything you'd like to do in the break with us?"

he gently tucked jisung's hair behind his ear as he continued, "if you want, you and i could go to the library before science to work on our project?"

jisung nodded his head as he turned it to the paper in front of him, "yes please, bin'."

minho heard his phone buzz and undetectably checked the notification.

Chan🐺

me
chan, i need u to come
in before break, there's
something i need to talk
to you about ~9:49

chan
okay min, i'll be at the car
park for 10:30 ~09:53

minho looked at the clock and realised history was coming to an end, he turned to see changbin and jisung packing up their bags.

"we'll see you at lunch, min." changbin smiled softly as he put an arm around jisung to lead him out.

minho gave jisung a small wave, thankful the younger had perked up even slightly.

he packed up his own things before heading towards the door, only to be gently stopped by his teacher who asked him to wait behind.

"please take a seat, i'll tell your next teacher it's my fault you're late."

minho complied and sat at one of the desks in the front row. once all the students had left, the teacher leant on his desk in front of minho.

"now it's none of my business, and you don't have to tell me if you feel uncomfortable speaking on his behalf, but is everything okay with jisung?"

he took note of minho's demeanour and cleared his throat. "i just noticed he seemed quite distracted when he's usually very talkative with the two of you...i just want to know if he's feeling okay this morning?"

minho stuffed his hands into his pockets as he shrugged. "honestly, sir, i can't really say much except that he'll be feeling better as the day goes on. there was a slight erm...inconvenience this morning."

he mentally rolled his eyes- an inconvenience was hardly the right word for it.

the teacher nodded as he stood and gave minho a small pat on the shoulder.

"alright minho, thank you for being there for him." he smiled as he handed him his late note. "i can see how he really appreciates you and changbin."

minho gave him a smile as he walked out the room to his next class, he only hoped it would go quick so he could soon meet chan.

now break had arrived, chan walked into the school grounds to see minho pacing in front of a bench.

"minho?" he watched as minho sighed in relief at the sight of the older.

"chan, it's jisung and it's bad." minho said quickly as chan brought his hands up to slow him down.

"what happened?" he asked, trying to keep a calm front even though minho could tell he was anxious.
