the mood surrounding won-jae could not be more different at jisung's house.
jia had invited the group over, only jeongin unable to make it due to his parents wanting him to study.
in a way, chan was slightly relieved. he hated seeing jeongin worry about jisung but was still planning to tell jeongin what had been discussed the next day.
chan never left anyone out.
the rest were now sat in the kitchen as dohyun and jia looked around the boys.
"so you all know why you're here," dohyun began. "we'll explain all we know first and then we expect answers."
the boys nodded, they'd never seen jisungs father so stern.
"so," jia weakly spoke. "jisung had a cut on the side of his face as well as red marks on his wrist...when i asked him about it, his immediate response was 'he didn't mean it and it was an accident'."
minho felt his heart break at the pained expression on her face.
"when he said won-jae had hurt him, i couldn't believe it. when dohyun and i met won-jae, he seemed like such a lovely fit for jisung that we never would have guessed."
the group shared confused looks until chan spoke up.
"sorry, did you say you'd met him?"
dohyun rested his hands on jias shoulder's as he slightly furrowed his brows.
"we met him the day after won-jae arrived home from his parents, did jisung not tell you?"
"no, sir" hyunjin shook his head, "we had no idea."
"can i ask why you look surprised that we met him?" jia asked as changbin rubbed his nape.
"i think if you continue explaining how much you know about him, we can answer that question."
jia nodded, "jisung told me won-jae was drunk when he'd hit him, and jisung is always tense when parties are mentioned...does won-jae drink heavily often?"
everyone nodded before jia crossed her arms with a light sigh.
"he told me the concerts and mosh pits were a lie, and that made me remember how a few of you were so confused when they were mentioned."
"we figured out pretty quickly that jisung had lied to you about the real reason behind his injuries." changbin sighed, looking to his boyfriend as felix had tears in his eyes.
"he's over there now as he told me won-jae would be apologising," jia continued. "...but do these apologies even mean anything?"
seungmin shook his head, "won-jae will apologise and a few weeks will pass without him hurting jisung. still, won-jae is quite possessive so he's still quite rough with him."
dohyun nodded before letting out a deep sigh, "how often does won-jae go to parties?"
"nearly every night, sir." chan answered.
"what!?" dohyun's head shot up, "he drags my son out every night?"
"n-not every night, sir." felix weakly shook his head, "sometimes jisung says he doesn't want to go, but won-jae usually has ways of getting him to go."
jia turned to him. "you know he doesn't like to let people down darling."
dohyun shook his head as he turned back to the boys.
"do you all go to these parties too?...minho?"
minhos head shot up, "we've only been to one, sir." he gulped. "he had a good time but won-jae kept him out till four in the morning and he came into school exhausted."
