chapter twenty one

it was now late in the night with changbin and felix having already left, not wanting to drive home after 11pm.

minho was still at jisung's, he had fallen into the exact same predicament as last saturday when he was cuddling jisung. however this time, jisung was wide awake and minho was fast asleep.

jisung was stood at the side of his bed, anxiously biting his fingernails as he wasn't sure what to do.

on one hand, jisung didn't want to wake him, scared he'd be giving minho the impression he was annoyed for minho overstaying his welcome.

but on the other hand, jisung was scared to wake minho up incase he got mad he'd now have to drive home when it was nearing 1am.

after thinking each option over, jisung took a deep breath as he decided to wake minho up.

"m-min?...minho?" jisung softly asked as he lightly shook the boy on his bed.

he took a small step back as he saw minho's eyes begin to flutter open. minho looked round the room and saw that felix and changbin were no longer next to him.

"oh shit, i'm sorry i fell asleep watching that episode." minho shyly looked at jisung.
"it didn't bore me or anything, i was just erm...comfortable."

jisung frantically waved his hands in front of his body, feeling guilty that minho was apologising.

"no, please don't apologise, min. i've fallen asleep at loads of episodes before, if i'm tired enough the narrators voice can surely knock me out."

he laughed nervously as he rubbed the back of his neck. "s-so my parents can drive you home if you'd like...they can drive using your car so you aren't without it."

minho couldn't help but notice that jisung looked almost hesitant to ask him to go, he fiddled with his fingers before clearing his throat to gain jisung's attention.

"erm do...do you want me to leave, jisung?"

jisung stayed quite for a moment, keeping his eyes trailing along the floor as he was anxiously chewing his lip.

"honestly n-no." he sighed, "i really hate being alone, b-but i don't want you to feel like you have to stay with me. i don't wanna be a burden..."

minho shook his head as he moved to sit slightly closer to where jisung was stood. "i really don't mind staying with you, if you don't mind me being here, i'll happily stay."

jisung looked over his face and mirrored his gentle smile. he thanked minho before shuffling over to his wardrobe, grabbing a pair of oversized pyjamas that he hoped would fit the taller perfectly.

minho thanked him before looking around the room, "could i borrow a blanket, ji?"

"are you cold?" jisung quickly asked as his eyes nervously fell to the t-shirt in minho's hands.

"no," minho said quietly before gesturing his hand down, "i was going to sleep on your carpet."

"what?" jisung shook his head at him, "i couldn't ask you to sleep on the floor i-..."

minho noticed jisung had suddenly become shy.

"i was erm, actually going to ask...i-if you don't mind of course..." he slowly trailed off as he chewed his bottom lip.

minho moved his head to look up at jisung, trying to catch his gaze, "jisung?"

"well...i normally sleep when my hair gets played with and jae normally does it, i managed to sleep when felix did it but-"

jisung quickly shook his head at himself as he briefly lifted his hands to dismiss what he was saying.

"no i'm sorry minho, just forget it. i'll sleep on the floor if you're uncomfortable, it's oka-"

"-jisung." minho softly grabbed jisungs wrists as a way to stop him from rambling, he held a small smile as he looked over jisungs face. "ji if it helps you sleep, i don't mind doing it."

jisung looked at minho and saw the comforting look in his eyes, he mirrored his smile and slowly nodded as a thank you.

jisung had gone in the bathroom first to get ready. once he returned, he gave minho's shoulder a soft tap to signal he could go in.

once minho had finished in the bathroom, he walked back into the bedroom to see jisung now snuggled up under the duvet.

as he got in himself, minho lifted up his arm for jisung to snuggle into his body.

jisung softly leant his head on minho's chest as he felt minho's fingers snake into his hair.

an instant wave of calm flowed through his body as he focused on minho softly twirling the ends of his hair around his fingers.

"thank you, min." jisung mumbled as he slowly closed his eyes.

minho placed his other hand around jisung's body, absentmindedly tracing light circles with his thumb at the top of jisung's back.

"you're welcome, ji." he sighed, "but please try and get some sleep...you're alright now."

the two boys fell into a comfortable silence. minho soon drifted off to sleep, yet jisung had a few thoughts on his mind.

he couldn't help wondering how his boyfriend was, having to sleep without him.

jisung knew how much won-jae loved to hold him, as well as how he would often lean over and softly kiss him before the two fell asleep in each other's arms.

jisung sighed before softly mumbling out loud to himself

"a few more days jisung...that's all you have to get through."
