chapter fifty six

it was now the first week of christmas break.

the last few days of school had gone smoothly as won-jae hadn't even attempted to reach out to jisung as well as the blonde spending the last week with his parents.

the group hadn't seen jisung since the last day of school over four days ago. but, jia and dohyun had informed them that jisung's distant family had come to visit and so he would be back with the group for the first week of the break.

today, the eight friends would be meeting at hyunjin's new apartment as he had only just bought it and so wanted to throw a small house warming party.

minho was currently getting himself ready. he wore black jeans with a white festive cardigan over a plain white buttoned shirt. he then fixed his red tie and walked out to meet chan at the bottom of the stairs.

chan was wearing a green and white horizontal striped jumper also with a red tie, standing with his arms folded.

"hurry up, min." he lightheartedly scolded. "i don't wanna be late."

"i'm here, im here." minho called as he jumped down at the last step. "who's driving?"

chan held up in his keys in reply as minho nodded.

after a short journey, the two spotted changbin's car in the underground parking lot and pulled in next to him.

as they wandered into the building and up towards hyunjins floor, chan bumped minho's shoulder as they exited the lift and walked down the hall.

"just to let you know, jisung is already there." he smirked, "you might be in for a shock."

minho only furrowed his eyebrows in confusion before the two ended up the apartment's door.

hyunjin opened it after chan had knocked, smiling at them warmly.

"wow, i didn't think the elderly would be last to arrive."

hyunjin gestured for them to come in, grinning as both of them had rolled their eyes at his comment.

"ahh, you guys are finally here!" felix squealed as he walked over with changbin. "wait until you see jisungs new hair!"

changbin sighed as he turned to the excited blonde "lixie, it was meant to be a surprise."

felix lifted his hands up in defence. "hey, i did it and i'm proud of it." he crossed his arms smugly. "i want them to know im the cause of it!"

jisung walked out from the kitchen as his face lit up at the two eldest, "you finally arrived!" he teased as he smiled at the pair.

minho's jaw dropped as he was now struggling to form words.

jisung's hair was now a dark blue.

"oh w-wow." minho gulped as jisung turned to face him.

"you like it?" jisung asked as he tried to distinguish if minho's reaction was positive or negative.

jisung cleared his throat. "lee felix my bestest friend in the world world is to thank."

felix playfully hit jisung's arm, "you make it sound like i told you to say that!" he received a look from everyone but minho.

felix scoffed as he crossed his arms. "okay, but you have to admit it looks so good so you're all welcome."

chan and changbin gave him another playful grin as the three walked further into the apartment, leaving minho and jisung alone.

"it...you really...y-you look incredible." minho managed to say as he lifted a hand to his hair. "and it's still so soft!?"

jisung blushed slightly at his complimented as he pointed to minho's hair. "we should do yours at some point. not that you need to change it, i just think it'll be interesting to see all the colours you'd suit."
