the four were now currently sat at the dining table.

minho was sat next to jisung and opposite dohyun. he had thanked both parents for the meal at least ten times before he even sat down.

he was also very surprised they had remembered his favourite meal.

"so, minho," jia smiled as they had all now finished their food, "how's chan?"

"he's great. we've made it this far living together and its going really well." minho chuckled. "though he's acting more like a dad now."

dohyun shook his head with a laugh. "feels like only yesterday you kids moved in...it's coming up a year now isn't it?"

"yes, sir." minho nodded. "it'll be a year in january."

jia beamed and rested her chin on her hands. "how are you finding school? jisung doesn't stop talking about how smart you are."

jisung only playfully shrugged as minho caught his eye. "i wouldn't say that, i tend to ask jisung for help a lot of the time."

"don't be so modest, min." jisung smiled as he lightly hit his shoulder.

dohyun smiled as he looked over the boys. he always thought minho brought out the best in jisung.

"so your study session tonight, how was it?" dohyun asked as minho smiled at them both.

"good, we got our assignments done and jisung and i found it very productive. we're now up to date with all our work."

"mum!" jisung suddenly gasped. "the sunset was amazing! you should have seen it, it seriously lit up the entire room!"

jia grinned at how excited jisung was, it no wonder he loved the nature documentary so much. plus, the sunset was something the two shared a deep admiration for.

"so kids," dohyun pointed to them. "how was football?"

minho froze, he felt his face heat up as he remembered back to jisung's successful tackle that left him lost for words.

however, he needed to control himself, he was not about to get flustered in front of jisung's father.

"g-great." minho weakly nodded as he drank some water to avoid eye contact with anyone.

"it was okay." jisung shrugged. "it was good because i was with minho, but i don't think football is really my sport."

jia nodded as she held a small smile. "well kids, we will let you get back to the documentary as, jisungie, i can tell you're itching to get back."

she sent him a teasing look as she raised her eyebrows. "you certainly came down in a huff."

"i was not in a huff!" jisung whined as he looked to his dad to back him up.

"he wasn't in a huff, darling." dohyun sighed as he tilted his head. "he was more so...sulking."

minho couldn't help but laugh at the cute pout on jisung's face.

"you're laughing!?" jisung gasped. "are you siding with my parents now?"

"hey," minho raised his hands in defence as he bit back a smile, "i'll side with anyone who goes to the trouble of making dinner for me."

"minnnn!" jisung pouted even more "you know i can't cook!?" he scoffed as he stood up and shook his head. "ugh, whatever."

jisung soon broke out into a smile as he walked round to kiss his mum's cheek, thanking her for the meal before dohyun whispered something to him.

"oh no," jisung smiled. "everything's okay with that."

minho guessed he had asked jisung what had happened before dinner.
