Today was the day we had to checkout, go back to Ashton's house and forget this weekend ever happened.

Ashton was currently in the shower, while I was putting my stuff in my bag, a towel around my wet hair.

The noise of TV and my low humming, distracts me as I fold my tshirt and pajama bottoms.

My phone rings from the bed so I instantly jump up, grabbing it and answering with ease.

"Hello?"

"Kat, " my mother says into the phone, my smile instantly disappears at the sound of her voice.

"What?" I say already biting my bottom lip.

"You need to come over here, I apologized for my behavior yet you haven't. Why are you acting childish?" My mother sneers into the receiver.

"Apologize? For what? I don't have to apologize and honestly I don't want to see you. You really hurt me and I don't know if I could ever forgive you." I say into the phone, hoping I sounded confident.

My mother stays silent for a few seconds and I have to check the screen to see if she hung up or not.

"Your making a big mistake if you don't come back to see us." She says putting emphasis on the us as she speaks in a conniving tone.

"I have to go." I mutter into the phone, hanging up and sitting on the edge of the bed. My head instantly goes in my hands, closing my eyes I try to sort out my thoughts.

When will I speak to my mother again? Will I ever have the guts to face her again even though I know she'll just attack me again. Should I go today? Just to see what she has to say? Give her the benefit of the doubt? Ugh. This was too much to take in.

I hear the bathroom door open seconds later, I stand up from the bed and go back to my bag, this time just jamming in my clothes.

"I didn't realize that shower had disco lights, pretty rad." Ashton chuckles, rubbing a towel over his head.

"Yeah, but they kind of hurt your eyes." I respond as I take the towel off my head, beginning to comb through my hair.

"You tried them?" Ashton says surprised. I look at him, shrugging. "Well yeah, didn't you?"

He nods, sitting at the edge of the bed infront of me. "Yeah but not for the whole shower."

I nod, continuing to brush the tangles out my hair, a blush on my cheeks. This was kind of embarrassing.

"Aw, your blushing! I didn't mean to embarrass you. I'm just surprised you'd use them." Ashton chuckles, pulling the bottom of my shirt to bring myself inbetween the slot of his legs.

"They're just lights." I mutter shrugging, he was making them seem like it was a massager or something.

"I know," he chuckles, squeezing my hips. "I didn't mean for it to come out the way it did." He says, giving me a small smile. I nod, my fingers running through my wet hair.

"I know." I say truthfully. He stands up, pecking my lips continuously, I lose my balance alittle since I was so close to him when he was sitting but Ashton grips me, making sure I don't fall back.

Ashton's lips linger over my mouth longer then just a peck and I know he wants to kiss me deeper, so I let him.

I can tell he's caught off guard when he feels my fingers in his hair, I've rarely ever did that, his fingers dig into my hips. His lips lapping over mine.

"I'm so proud of you." He says as he pulls away, his lips still touching mine alittle. "I think this trip improved us, dont you think?" He asks, I bite my lip, staring at his Adam's apple.

I nod, wrapping my arms around his neck, I stand on my tip toes to hug him, my face buried in his chest.

It would be a perfect moment to tell him I'm moving out. My conscious reminds me but I ignore her, I'll tell him when we get back to his house.

"Thank you, I know I've improved in this relationship. But still don't expect too much." I say looking up at him. He furrows his eyebrows at me, "Why?"

"Because I don't want to disappoint you." I say, gulping, waiting for his response.

"I don't think you could ever disappoint me." He says, giving my a loving kiss to the temple, he pulls away, sighing softly.

"We need to go before they charge me for another night." I chuckle and nod.

We grab our stuff, checking out the hotel and begin our two hour drive back to Ashton's place.

"Maxie!" Ashton says greeting Maxie as she howls at us when we step through the door. Her tail is wagging all around, her tongue out.

"I have to use the bathroom, then we can go." Ashton says and I nod at him, watching as he walks to the bathroom.

On our way back, Jessie had called me and asked if we wanted to have dinner with her and her boyfriend. Of course I didn't care to go but Ashton said we should, so I said yes.

I looked in the mirror Ashton had hanging, making sure I looked decent.

Black baggy tshirt, gray skinny jeans and my boots. My hair straightened, falling down my back. Eh, this was good enough.

"Ready?" Ashton asks, grabbing his keys and wiping one of his hands on his pants.

"Yeah." I nod and then we leave, not even being at his house for more than two minutes.

Ever since Ashton came into my life, I knew I had friends like Jessie and Frankie but now I just feel like I actually have people to talk to and associate with.

It's weird to think about. So I won't.

"Jessie said to go to Bdubs, they're already there." I say to Ashton as he backs out of the parking spot.

"Alright, the one near that strip club right?" He asks as he begins to drive, I try not to ask him how he knows there's a strip club near it because if I did, I 'd sound like a lunatic. Even I knew there was a strip joint and I haven't gone there.

"Yeah." I replied, nodding, I reply to Jessie that were on our way and she says her and her boyfriend will wait to order.

"Oh by the way, I saw some mail for you, it was a black envelope... Kind of weird." Ashton chuckles and I furrow my eyebrows at him.

"A black envelope? For me?" I try to think if I ordered anything from any of the websites that I shop at, maybe it was a bill in a very chic envelope?

"Yeah, it had a confidential stamp on the white part, I'll give it you when we get home." He says and I nod.

I wonder what it was.
