I drove home with my heart beating, palms sweating, nerves high. That's just the affect Ashton had on me, I didn't like it.
I didn't even want my food. I just wanted to go home and sleep, which is exactly what I'll do.
After Ashton left that night, I cried myself to sleep. Unsure if the tears were for Ashton, Kyle or myself.
The next day, after Beth came and got her stuff I searched online for local gyms. I needed a hobby. Obviously having friends wasn't my forte so maybe I can dedicate my lonely life to the gym.
I've only started to workout but I can already feel myself lighter. Not in the sense of weight but in stress and worries and anxiety. Yeah, they're still high but it's less and comforting so, it's progress.

"Another set! Go!" My trainer, Anthony screams at me as I swing the cattle bell under my pelvis then above my head.
My body is drenched in sweat, my muscles sore, my face showing the discomfort. But I continued. I could do this.
"Done! Nice work!" Anthony says grabbing the bell from my hands, I grab my water bottle, chugging it down in seconds.
"That last wod killed me." I say trying to catch my breath and Anthony nods. "That's the point." I chuckle, rolling my eyes at the man in front of me.
He was light brown, sculpted body, brown eyes and a gold t. He was 6 years older than me, but he sure was prettier than I was.
"I'll see you tomorrow?" He asks bending down to grab his workout bag and I nod sighing. "Yeah, bright and early." I chuckle and grab my bag from the floor.
"Oh and before you get home stop at that new whole food store, stock up on veggies and fruits. You have to start eating right if you want to continue this road of positivity." He says nudging my shoulder and I nod. I'm definitely not telling him I had take out last night.
"Alright, coach." I say smiling at him and walking out. It was only 6 in the morning and the sun was barely rising. I quickly threw my bag in the passenger seat and buckled in, my stomach grumbling.
Considering it's only 6, I settle for Denny's, my stomach not wanting any fake McDonalds egg and chicken.
I walk into the almost vacant Denny's, plus a few people, in my workout clothes. Let's pray I don't look a mess.
"Table for one?" A young girl asks me and I nod. "Yes please." She nods her head for me to follow her, her feet move swiftly to a booth in the back. Perfect.
"Would you like to start off with any refreshments?" She asks, a smile on her face remind me of Ashton. It was big and inviting and perfect.
"Miss?" She asks waving her pen in my face and I instantly shake my head of any Ashton related thoughts. "U-Uh I'll have coffee. Black." I say scratching my neck as she smiles at me again then walks away.
I sighed once again. I wished I didn't constantly think of Ashton. But I did. And I couldn't help myself. But I was slightly worried because as more and more thoughts of Ashton invaded my mind, the less Kyle was in it. And I didn't know if that was a good thing or not.
"Here you go," The waitress says putting the hot mug down infront of me. I mutter a quiet thank you. "Would you like to order?"
"Um, yeah... Can I just get 2 pancakes... Some bacon and a bit bowl of assorted fruit..?"
"Of course." She says smiling as she wrote down my order then dismisses herself.
I grab my piping hot coffee and blow on it, hoping it'll cool down faster. I hear the bell of the restaurant ding and my eyes instantly go to the source.
A boy with black hair walks in giggly, he wears a nice smile with chinky eyes. But my eyes instantly bulge when I see who's behind him.
There's Ashton, in all black, laughing at whatever his friend said. I instantly hunch down to the table, my eyes averting to the coffee infront of me.
Don't see me. Don't see me. Don't se-
"Kat?"
Fuck, he saw me.

Ashton's POV
I didn't expect to see her at Denny's at 6 in the morning, especially in workout clothes.
"What are you doing here?" I ask as I stand infront of her table, a single cup of coffee sits infront of her. "Eating breakfast after the gym." She shrugs and hesitantly raises her eyes to mine.
"Well, it's nice to hear your working out.. Good for you." I say meaning it. Maybe she needed that, some type of outlet.
"Yeah.. It's good." She shrugs and grabs her coffee. Calum whistles for me from the table the waitress just gave us.
"Well, I have to go back to my friend Cal.. I'll see you." I say placing a hand on her shoulder. She nods and bites her lip, "Yeah."
I smile at her and begin walking away. Watching her as she begins to play with her fingers.
I hope I had the same affect on her as she did on me.
