"Ten more!" Anthony said loudly as I continued to breathlessly move my body up and down in a 'burpie' type workout.
A chain of incoherent curse words left my lips every time I jumped up and then went back down to the ground.
"Rest." Anthony says as he passes me my water bottle. I place my hands on my hips, trying to catch my breath.
"Your improving! Last week you only got 30. I can definitely say your better than your friend Michael." Anthony chuckles, I take the water bottle from his hands and shake my head
"He's not my friend, he's my boyfriends.." Anthony nods, his mouth falling in an 'O' shape.
"Well yeah - I definitely need to push him a little more, does your boyfriend work out?" Anthony asks, passing me a napkin to wipe my sweat off.
I close the lid of my water bottle and shake my head. "No," I grab the napkin and pat my forehead with it, it begins to get soggy within seconds.
"I see - well that was the last wod for today so your free to go home and sleep." Anthony chuckles, I nod giving him a small smile.
"I'll see you Thursday." Anthony says and I nod again, waving my hand at him as I grab Ashton's car keys and my sweatshirt.
I walk out of the gym, the sun way passed set.
It was already alittle over a week since Ashton and I got back from my mom's, a week since that incident at Buffalo Wild Wings.
I was mad at myself for not yet telling Ashton about me moving out, I mean I basically had an apartment, all I had to do was go and sign the paperwork.
I felt like he deserved to know before the actual day I moved out but I was too much of a chicken. Why? I don't know. I didn't want to hurt Ashton's feelings, I didn't want him to think I was trying to get a way from him.
I shook my head trying to rid the thoughts from my mind as I unlocked Ashton's car.
"Hey!" A male voice says and I instantly jump - my hand gripping the car door.
"Woah - didn't mean to scare you." James says chuckling and I turn to him, my eyebrows furrowed. He didn't mean to scare me? It was night, I was a girl and he just randomly shouts hey? He was weird.
"It's uh fine.." I say unlatching my hands from the door and continuing to get in.
"I didn't see you at the gym this weekend." He says and I nod, putting the key into the ignition.
"I was on a - trip - with my boyfriend." I say turning the car on, I always felt like I had to remind him that I had a boyfriend, not that he probably cared, he can score someone way better than me.
"Oh that's nice." He says standing near the door, the car is running and all I need to do is close the door to leave but he's blocking it.
"Yeah..." I say turning to him, he's smiling at me and I can't help but feel creeped out.
"Well I should go..." I say reaching for the door, he nods and steps away
"See you later Kat." He says, a small smirk on his lips. I stare at him, somewhat confused as to why he even came up to me.
"Yeah." I say lastly before closing the door and diving to Ashton's apartment.
-
"It's funny you tell me that because Michael called me earlier saying that your trainer was working him too hard." Ashton chuckles, shaking his head as he takes a bite of his pork chop.
He had cooked tonight, thankfully, considering I was too tired and lazy to cook tonight.
"Tell him not to quit, Anthony hates quitters." I say sipping my lemonade. Ashton nods, his eyes on his plate as he continues to eat.
