"Ashton wait!" I screamed, tears running down my face as I grabbed his arm trying to make him stop walking out my apartment.
"Don't touch me." He sneered, yanking his hand out my grasp.
"Ashton - where are you going?" I sobbed, standing in front of the door before he can escape.
"Get. Out. My. Way." He says angrily at me and I shake my head.
"Ashton, tell me. We can make this work! I can change. I'll do whatever you want. I - you can't leave me." I begged and he shook his head, pushing me out the way and walking out of the place, slamming the door behind him.
Just as I open the door to chase him -
I'm jolted awake, my body covered with sweat, my breathing is harsh and my face damp with tears.
I don't know why I had the same dream in two nights but it's eating me up. Is it an omen? I mean, it has to mean something right?
I rubbed my hands across my face, throwing my blanket over my legs and walking to the kitchen for a glass of water.
I sip the cold water from the faucet, my back against my counter.
Ashton was probably sleeping right now, having a dreamless - calm slumber while I was half way there from having a panic attack.
I know Ashton didn't want me to come back to my place today, considering I had a nightmare at his place last night but I wanted to.
I'm an introvert and sometimes I need time to myself, to just collect myself, and find serenity. Although - I wasn't finding any in my sleep.
I checked the time on my microwave - 4:28 am. I groaned, knowing I wouldn't be able to go to sleep.
I walked back to my room, deciding I'd just begin packing for the trip this weekend.
-
9:44 am. My eyes are strained, bags under them, my body feels weak from the lack of sleep but I can't let that dream continue to occur and if I have to skip some hours then so be it.
The morning sun was shining through my windows as I laid on my couch, two empty cups of coffee on my coffee table.
I hear my door jingle suddenly, my heart suddenly beating faster but then realize it's Ashton when I spot his curly hair.
"Your up? It's early still. I was trying to surprise you." Ashton says with furrowed eyebrows as he walks over to me, his eyes trailing from my face to the bags on the side of the couch to the coffee cups.
"What's with the bags?" He nods to them and then takes a seat next to me, donuts being placed on the coffee table.
"I have a business trip this weekend, I leave tomorrow morning." I yawn, quickly covering my mouth with my hand.
"And the empty coffee cups?" He asks eyeing them then eyeing me.
"Needed extra energy...?" I say but it comes out more like a question.
"You look pale.. Are you sick?" Ashton asks caressing my face. I shake my head no, my hand gently pushing his hand away.
"I'm fine... I just decided to get up early and I was really craving coffee... As you can see.." I say gesturing to the empty cups.
Ashton eyes me suspiciously and I quickly change the subject. "So you brought donuts! Let's eat some yeah?" I say reaching for the container - opening it I pass one to Ashton then bite into one for myself.
