Ashton's POV
"Last day living together." Kat says yawning as she stretches across the couch, her legs on my lap. Her shirt had rode up, exposing her protruding hip bone.
"Yeah - last chance to stay. Going once - going twice?" I say pointing a finger at her and raising a brow.
She chuckles, letting out a small sigh. "Sorry buddy - I'm leaving." I groan, laying my head against the couch. This makes her laugh again, her knees bending alittle.
"You are welcome whenever - obviously." Kat says rolling her eyes. I nod, a smirk on my lips.
"We should have each others spare key. So we can surprise each other." I say, my hand rubbing up and down Kat's shin.
"Sure, besides I already picture it now. Either you always sleeping over there or me over here." She chuckles, shaking her head.
"Your going to have to bring Maxie." Kat adds, turning to my dog who was watching us from her bed in the corner of the living room.
"She's going to miss you the first week, I know it." I chuckle and Kat sighs.
"I think I need a pet - maybe a cat - because my name." Kat says seriously but then we both begin to laugh.
"You hate cats." I note and Kat nods, another sigh leaving her lips. "I know."
"Maybe I should get a puppy.. Or a bird - ooh! A fish." Kat lists the animals off and I chuckle, shaking my head.
"A puppy is good." Kat nods, her hands laying on her stomach.
The room was silent for a while, Kat's eyes closed and I was almost sure she was asleep.
"I hope your not trying to get out of cooking dinner." I whisper, crawling over Kat's body. Her eyes open slowly, her cheeks red.
"I'm not - I'm just relaxing, after today I won't have a couch." She chuckles and I nod.
"I can call my friend - I'm sure he has one." I say and she nods. Her arms wrap around my torso, her face in the crook of my neck. We were cuddling on my tiny couch.
It was great and horrible at the same time.
Great because Kat and I were physically close, I can feel her breathing and her body molds right into mine.
Bad because I can't move an inch due to the lack of space - but it's worth it with Kat next to me.
"Your so warm." Kat mumbles into my shoulder, I chuckle, my arm rubbing up and down her back.
"Want to watch a mov-"
The sound of someone knocking on my door makes me and Kat both furrow our eyebrows.
"Were you expecting someone?" Kat asks and I shake my head, crawling over her body and off the couch.
"Nope." I say as I begin to walk to the door. I pull up my slightly baggy sweatpants, my hand rubbing my bare chest, then running through my long hair.
I throw the door open, completely unaware of who would be standing behind it.
Kat's mother.
