This is a mini bonus chapter since today is Father's Day!

"Daddy! Look!" Kat ran in her Tuesday underwear, a large t shirt draped on her. She had a plate of cookies in her hand, her hair messy as she ran to her father who sat on the couch, a Pepsi in hand.
"What's that baby?" He asks, picking her up and placing her on his lap, taking a cookie in his fingers.
"Cookies! For you only." She says giving him a enormous grin. She loved her father dearly. She always loved making cookies for him on Father's Day, although her mother had to help her.
"Oh how sweet baby girl, look lets watch the game." Her father says pointing at the television that showed a baseball game. He loved baseball. Kat didn't really care for it but she'd always watch it with him because it was just more time with her loving daddy.
"Daddy, I have one more present for you!" Kat says jumping off his lap and skipping to her little pink bag on the ground.
She scavenged around it, tossing random papers out trying to look for her gift for her favorite man, her hero.
"Let me go ask mommy." She mumbles o herself as she runs down the hall to where her mother was in her room, combing her long hair.
"Mommy, where's daddy's present I made?" Little Kat asks, watching as her mother dolls herself up.
"I don't know KitKat, did you check your bag?" We mother says almost ignoring her daughter as she applies lipstick to her thin lips. Kat didn't really like the nickname her mother called her, she mostly liked when her father called her baby girl or princess but she never told mommy that.
"Yes over a trillion times! Mommy, daddy needs it! I have to give it to him." Kat says with tears in her eyes. She had worked so hard on her dads gift, it had sparkles and everything. She was very upset she couldn't find it.
"Well I don't know sweetie, you lost it - not me." Her mother states, dismissing the child.
Kat walks sadly back her father, climbing on his lap and laying her head on his chest. She was devastated.
"What's wrong princess?" He asked, rubbing her back lightly. Kat didn't know how to tell her father she lost his gift. She didn't want to disappoint him.
"Daddy I can't find your present." Kat says sadly, tears in her eyes as she looks at her father. She wished she knew where his gift was.
"Oh baby it's okay, your a gift enough to me." He says rubbing under her eyes.
"But daddy it had sparkles!" Kat pouts, crossing her tiny arms over her chest.
"Yeah well baby I don't need lots of sparkles when I have you, who sparkles the brightest." Her father says kissing her head. She smiled and kissed his cheek.
"You sparkle too daddy." Kat says referring to his baldish head. He chuckles and nods.
"Only for you baby girl."
