It was 2 am, we both had to work tomorrow yet here we were, lying in my bed playing with each other's fingers.

"How's work?" Ashton asks me placing his large hand on my waist, his thumb caressing my skin.

"It's good, It's a lot to take in..." I pause letting out a breath and pressing my hand to Ashton's chest. "But it'll calm down with time I hope."

Ashton nods, his hand rubbing higher up, his fingers trailing my torso slowly, my ribs, then just below my bra.

"Babe - your so small.." He says quietly, worry lacing his voice. I instantly look down at my stomach that was currently covered by Ashton's t shirt that I took from him.

"No I'm not." I argue. I wasn't small. My thighs still touched and whenever I sat down I had a flab of fat sticking out. I wasn't small at all.

"Yes you are - your bones are protruding. I've noticed it for a while now but I feel like it's only getting worse." He mumbles staring into my eyes, his hand on my hip bone.

"I'm fine." I says shrugging. Ashton sighs, his hand continuing to rub up and down my torso. "I just don't want the gym and your consumption of food to differentiate and make you even skinnier. I want my girlfriend healthy and not just a walking skeleton."

I instantly frown at his words. Was he disgusted with my 'protruding bones'?

"What's wrong?" He asks instantly, I definitely wore my emotions on my sleeve when it came to Ashton.

"Are you disgusted? Do you want me to stop working out? I don't want you to keep pestering me about you not liking my appearance." I say quietly, my eyes locked on Ashton's hazel ones.

"Listen Kat - you will always , always , always be beautiful to me. Your the prettiest woman I've ever laid eyes on and I could never be disgusted by you, your gorgeous. And it's not that I don't like your appearance I just don't want you to get sick. And if you were sick - you'd tell me right?" Ashton asks placing his forehead against mines.

I nod earning a smile from Ashton. "I love you, don't you forget that." He mumbles into my hair as he pulls me into his chest, his body half on top of me.

"I love you too." I respond although it's muffled.

Ashton was still sleeping when I got up at noon. I decided to make us sandwiches, leaving Ashton on the counter in the kitchen as I walked over to the window in my living room and sitting on the sill, staring out at the city below. I wasn't extremely high up in my apartment but it wasn't on the first floor.

I had work at 3, Ashton had work at 4, that's how it went. We barely had any time together. Maybe I should sacrifice working out to accommodate for Ashton and I's time together.

But I like working out. My whiny thoughts say. I didn't want to say I called it but... I called it. And by it I mean Ashton and I. We couldn't possibly last. Not without seeing each other. Not with my insecurities and never ending problems at home.

Ashton was perfect. He had no family problems like me. Not that he spoke of them... But I wish I never spoke to him about my family, then he wouldn't have to worry about them.

I finished my sandwich, my fingers playing with the loose frays of Ashton's tshirt.

"Hey babe," Ashton mumbles in my ear as he wraps his arms around me, making me jump slightly.

"Your up." I state the obvious, my eyes trained on the few people outside.

"Yeah, bed felt a bit cold." He jokes. I smile, shaking my head. Ashton sighs contently as he places his chin in the crook of my neck, his body sitting behind me on the windowsill.

"I love you - very much." Ashton whispers, his fingers intertwined with mine infront of my stomach.

"Diddo." I mumble back, biting my lip as Ashton peers to catch my face. "Say it back." He grumbles and I chuckle, biting my lip as I turn to look at him.

"I love you." I say placing my hand on his cheek, Ashton bites his lip and I can't help but attach my lips to his almost instantly.

He was just so good looking. "Has anyone ever told you... That your beautiful." I mumble into Ashton's mouth, he pulls away, placing his forehead against mines.

"Nope - I don't recall." He hums and I nod, my fingers trickling down his jawline.

"Well you are... Very much. Inside and out."
