Promise

Alex's Pov

A week passed after Lilac had her first official ultrasound, she was still sleeping and I was getting ready, fixing up my tie in front of the mirror.

Lilac's pregnancy was passing smoothly, she was feeling good except having those cravings. She craved chocolate cookies and waffles with strawberries, whipped cream and maple syrup the most.

As she was sleeping so soundly,  I got into my suit I made my way to her.

I leaned over her, gently resting one hand on her small bump and kissing the top of her head.

As I wanted to leave, Lilac suddenly grabbed my hand.

"Come back to bed" she mumbled, her eyes still closed.

"Angel, I have a lot of work to do, I can't" I said, giving her another kiss, but this time on her soft lips.

She didn't kiss me back.

"Come on angel, do you want me to go to work without having a kiss" I said as her gorgeous green eyes fluttered open.

"Just for a little while Alex. Stay." she said. "And can you rub my belly, I like when you do that."

How can I say no to her.

I slowly laid down next to her in bed, dressed in my suit and began rubbing small circles on her belly. She snuggled up to me, sleepily.

"It feels nice" she mumbled, drifting of to sleep again.

She's literally is sleeping and eating all day. It is actually really cute.

I slowly stood up, tugging her neatly into the bed, kissing her on her forehead, and leaving the room.

I made my way to my office, where I would spend some hours in I have a lot to catch up to.

As I reached my room, I opened my door, making my way to sit on my chair, placing my gun on the table. And I immediately got a phone call. I just let out a sigh picking up, it was Rowan's. 

"Boss?" Rowan said, trying to make sure that I picked up, like always.

"Yes, Rowan" I responded. "And call me Alex I have no time for formalities."

"Okay, but I just called to say that the stock of drugs arrived and our new guns."

"Good, did you check the amount and if everything has arrived."

"Everything is complete and there's nothing missing. When will you come over?"

"Soon."

"By the way I also took a taste of the drugs and you also need taste it, they going to be sold so easily in a short matter of time." Rowan said.

"Good, I will be there at midnight keep me updated would you?"

"Always, brother" Rowan said hanging up, making a small smile appear on my face.

Rowan and Zac are just like my brothers, they are family. Since we grew up together, they never left my side. We went together through thick and thin. 

And Lilac is also a big part of that family now, together with our little bundle of joy. Zac still doesn't know anything about the pregnancy, and he's coming back from New York in a few hours. He will definitely freak out, because he never expected anything like that from me.

He dealt with our allies when I came back to check on Lilac. I literally left him with those bastards alone, he probably hates me. 

The new stock of guns are going to be split up into the ambushed allies of mine. We have to cover up for what Aiden did. However, it doesn't matter as long as we have enough money. Sooner or later I will find Aiden and kill him this time.
