Lilac Pov

I was sitting in bed reading my book, thinking of how happy I've become, starting to enjoy life with my family around.

Zac, Rowan, Chloe and especially Alex. After all those difficulties we faced, all those up and downs it feels like relief is flooding through all of us. Of course, we still face dangers, and I think with Alex owning the biggest mafia in the US, we can't get around it.

But I feel really happy and content with being pregnant.

My phone started ringing. Zac calling on Facetime.

"Zac–" I started but Chloe's voice cut immediately off, and I knew that she took his phone.

"Lilac, my phone is dead, and I fucking needed to show you this." She literally showing me a cart full of baby clothes.

"Why didn't you tell me that shopping for baby clothes is addicting – Zac we are the next couple getting a baby."
I heard Zac objecting wanting to talk about it first, but Chloe as sassy as she is didn't give him a say. I started laughing.

"Lilac, if you don't tell your kids that I'm their rich Auntie Chloe who bought them clothes and everything, get ready to lose your hair."

"I love you too Chloe, you crazy ass Auntie of my children."

She kissed the phone and Zac and her said bye to me hanging up.

Chloe always updated me of the this she was doing, and now she's invested in buying baby clothes.

Suddenly, Alex came in, smiling at me with hot chocolate and cookies on a tray.

"You want me to get fat, I see."

He dramatically gasps "I would never do such a thing" he said, placing the tray down on the nightstand leaning over and placing a soft kiss on my forehead. Then he just laid down beside me.

He started to move towards my belly, which was already huge by now, I was close to eight months far, my belly gigantic. And having twins doesn't make it easier.

Alex started to caress my belly, in slow and gentle movements letting his hands wander over the little life we created, calming the tension in my body.

Suddenly Alex started to nuzzle his face over my belly, then starting to place kisses here and there, as a sudden sharp pain appeared where he kissed it.

"What's wrong" Alex asked concerned.

"They kicked."

"They kicked?" he asked, looking up.

"They did, pretty hard" I told him, that was really hard.

Alex turned his head away, looking at my belly again.

"You two are going to cause us a lot of trouble" he muttered, placing another longing kiss on it a low chuckle escaping him.

And then he just turned back to me. Moving towards me an taking me in his arms. His hold tight.

"I'm sorry for being away so long. You had to endure most of your pregnancy without me." He apologized, kissing the top of my head, his grip tightening.

"It's okay Alex, Chloe helped me a lot, just like Anna, Zac, and Rowan. So it wasn't that lonely when you left. And I guess our little bundles of joy can't wait to meet you. They kicked me, as you kissed my belly which means they probably love you as much as I do. To be honest I was scared the first months, you know all of those things that happened linger in my mind, surfacing when they feel like it. But I'm far enough now, a little over a month left, till we meet our beautiful children. And we are also finished with planning the wedding, so we are ready." I told him, holding his hand and intertwining our fingers.
