Birthday

Lilac's Pov

"Happy birthday, my angel" Alex said, walking up to me with a tray full of breakfast.

I rubbed my sleepy eyes; I began to feel much sleepier than usual.

"Alex, you remembered?" I asked him, completely in awe. I never had someone who would actually remember my birthday, and I never really talked about it. Alex just saw my ID a few months ago and wanted to do something badly even though I didn't want him to.

"Of course, I remembered, just because you didn't want to celebrate doesn't mean that I can't celebrate the day of your birth." To that I just put the tray in his hands down, sitting straight up and pulling Alex closer by the neck. Capturing his lips.

"I love you, so much, Alex" I muttered in between the kissing.

He gently pulled back, looking at me adoringly. "Get to eating we have to be somewhere later."

"Where?"

"You really think I'm stupid, angel" he laughed.

"You are mean, you could tell me" I told him, taking the tray from the nightstand placing it on my knees and starting to have my breakfast in bed. He prepared my favorite breakfast. Waffles with strawberries and whipped cream.

Alex is so sweet, and I really think today is a good day to tell him about the pregnancy. Pregnant, still can't believe it. After all that has happened.

"I will go take a shower and be right back, angel" he said, vanishing into the bathroom.

Suddenly my phone started to ring, Chloe's name popping up, and without even thinking I picked up.

"HEY BIRTHDAY GIRL" she literally screamed into my ear.

"Damn Chloe" I said, holding my phone a little further away.

It's been a while since I've talked to Chloe, she went to Italy for a while, spending time with her family.

"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Lilac happy birthday to you" she sang, making me laugh and starting to laugh along with me.

"Chloe, I wanted t-" I started wanting to tell her about the news, but she immediately cut me off.

"-Geez, I will send my present from Italy don't worry. There is no need to kill me."

"No, that's not what I wanted to say" I paused, finding it weird that I was going to announce my pregnancy out loud. "I'm pregnant."

"WHAT" she yelled.

"Shh, shh...nobody knows. Just telling you, because I am planning on telling Alex today."

"Are you for real, Lilac. Don't play me right now" she warned me. Her funny voice turning serious.

"I really mean it, can't believe it either" I told her, my eyes getting teary.

"I can't believe it, after waiting so long it finally worked out for you guys. I am so happy right now, Lilac. God, as if it's my fucking birthday. The best news ever after such a long time. Alex will probably freak out in a good way. You've been patient all along you two deserve it."

"Lilac, my dad is calling for me, we can chat some other time, but I need to go now. Happy birthday again and congrats. You deserve the world after ever shit you've been through."

"Thank you" I said, feeling moved by her words that were so sincere.

"Love you, have a nice birthday" and before I could respond she hung up, while her father called out in the background.
