Alex's Pov
It's been a day, or two, I don't know. I was in my office, trying to find a trace of Lilac, while having the phone I bought for her in one of my hands. The picture of me as her lock screen. But all I did was treat her badly, not even managing to avoid it.
I still don't know where she is.
I'm stressed and all I do is stay awake and search for her, while whiskey keeps me company.
The house feels really empty since she left, Rowan is busy searching for her, Zac is busy, I am busy searching for her, every single second. I don't sleep very often, I actually never did without Lilac, and now, I'm not even just laying down or even relaxing.
The cold empty feeling was engulfing me, Lilac's missing presence was making me feel lonely. And the more time passed without finding her, makes me fall back into my uncontrolled anger. Lilac always kept me sane. She was the one who made me a good person, and how can I manage to control my anger without her?
Suddenly a call came in and I put Lilac's phone down, immediately picking up the incoming call full of hope.
"Alex" It was Zac's voice.
"Yeah" I responded, rubbing my tired eyes. I will not sleep, till I have her back in my arms.
"Just wanted to let you know that I'm calling every single ally we have to ask them about James whereabouts."
"Appreciate it man" I said, sighing.
"Don't worry we will find her" Zac said and I just nodded my head, he didn't saw me, but I was doing it for myself, I got so far that I began reassuring myself. We are going to find her; we have to find her. After that Zac hung up, and I filled me another glass of whiskey.
"Please be okay Lilac, I beg you please, both of you be okay" I muttered to myself, turning back to work, trying everything I can to find her. Checking cameras on streets, buildings anywhere I could. My whole mafia was helping me to find her, and none of them managed to track anything.
A while later Rowan came into my office, sitting down on a chair in front of me.
"How are you holding up, did you find anything" he asked, leaning back into the chair, with his hands behind his head. What kind of question is that? If I would have found anything, I would have brought hell upon everyone.
"Rowan there is nothing. James has a number we can't track because he called anonymous, those are the hardest ones to follow back. And as long as we don't get something send from him, anything, we can't tell where he is right now."
"If he would just message you from the number, or anything else, we could track from where his last location was, it's better than nothing." Rowan stated. He was right, but how long are we going to wait, doing nothing?
Home doesn't feel like home when Lilac is not around. Nothing feels right without her.
She probably went through a lot of torture by now. James working with Aiden, a combination which screams danger.
Lilac is now alone, somewhere, and I couldn't protect her. I promised her that I would, I fucking promised her that I would protect her and our baby.
I can't bare it if anything happens to one of them.
I was still working on my laptop, while Rowan was also sitting here and doing some research on his phone.
I gulped down another glass of whiskey, and poured myself another glass.
All of sudden, a message popped up, and I immediately clicked at it. This was the chance we waited for to track all of them.
It was unknown number, but this time a number we would be able to track, hopefully.
