I lost everything

Lilac's Pov

"Chloe, I can't believe you said that to him" I said laughing.

"You know damn well; I said that Zac right into his face." Chloe said laughing hardly.

I've been getting a little better lately, and everyone has been helping me a lot especially Alex. However, Alex still didn't try for a child with me, because he thinks I'm still not ready for that.

Chloe and I've been bonding for a few months now, and she has become a great friend. A friend who also understands me because she went through similar things. And I am really mesmerized about how strong she is.

Everyone goes through pain differently and copes with it differently as well, but however I wish I could let what happened also behind, as strongly as Chloe did it.

And talking to her helps me in a way.

"Lilac?" she asked, waving her hand right in front of my face.

I started to laugh putting her hand down, "Stop showing off your engagement ring, I was the one who helped Zac to pick one." I said, but kind of felt sad because I lost my promise ring. I threw it just into Alex's face.

"You are so lame, Lilac" she said, sipping from her hot chocolate.

"Chloe will you be here for dinner with the Gonzales family, right?" I asked her because I didn't want to be alone.

"Sadly, I won't be here, Zac and I have that reservation at our favorite restaurant. So, after we went shopping for tonight, I will leave with Zac. But we can have a movie night if you are still awake."

"Too bad" I said, drinking from my cup of water.

"Lilac, don't worry you'll manage, you have a talent for those things." She said, smiling at me which I returned.

"Angel?" I heard Alex's deep voice call out. I turned away from Chloe looking at Alex standing in the doorway of the livingroom and leaning against the frame. "Can you come here for a second love?"

"Should we meet in a bit and go out shopping with Zac?" I turned back to Chloe smiling at her, as she nodded.

"I will get ready while you deal with your beast" Chloe said, chuckling.

"He's not a beast" I said, giggling and throwing the pillow next to me on her face.

"LILAC HOW DARE YOU" she said throwing the pillow right back at me. We both started to laugh so loudly as if we were two school girls being in high school.

I put the pillow down straightening my messed hair. "I will take my revenge, Chloe, where was your favorite makeup, oh I know I borrowed it" I said, chuckling and walking to Alex.

"Lilac, I will burn all of your books; I swear." Chloe yelled behind me; she wouldn't do that if her makeup is at risk. And I just hugged Alex for a moment as I took his hand, and we made our way to his office.

"Are you and Chloe becoming good friends" Alex asked, as we entered our room.

"Yeah, she's a nice person to be around. And she's very easy to talk to." I told him, while he sat down on the office chair and lifted me on the table. Sitting right in front of me, my legs on both of his sides.

"But why did you want to talk to me?" I asked slightly confused.

"Can't I spend some private time with you after doing all that bullshit for my mafia."

"Of course, you can, I was just curious" I said and then something I meant to ask him came into my mind. "Alex, can I ask you something?" I said, getting quite nervous. I wanted to know if he knew where my promise ring was.
