Chapter 57

'Hope! Finn!' Charming said running up to them.

Hope looked up and saw her father just in time to steady herself, before she was almost knocked back by the force when he wrapped his arms around her.

'Did you get hurt?' Charming asked.

'No.' Hope said.

'Where do you want me to leave her?' Finn asked, pointing at the Evil Queen who was draped over his shoulder.

'In the cage, good job son.' Charming said after pulling back.

They walked after Charming and Finn dropped the Evil Queen in the cage in the dungeon.

'She won't be able to hurt anyone in here.' Finn said looking over at Hope.

Hope nodded, biting her lip.

'Come on, let's get you to your room.' Finn said wrapping his arm around her shoulders.

They walked up the stairs and there they were met with a pair of eyes.

'Hope?' Snow said quietly before pulling her into a tight hug.

'Why did you do this to us?' Snow sobbed.

'I'm sorry, I didn't want anyone to get hurt anymore because of me.' Hope said.

'Don't do it again.' Snow said, almost pleading.

'I hope it's not necessary.' Hope said.

'You've caught her, so it won't.' Snow said.

'Did she hurt you?' Snow asked, taking Hope's face in between her hands.

'No.' Hope said.

'Do you mind if I go to bed? I'm really tired.' Hope said.

'That's okay, we'll talk later.' Snow said giving her a quick hug.

Hope pulled back and gave her a small smile. Hope then looked sideways and saw Finn pulling away from his mother. Finn looked over his shoulder and stretched his hand out for her to take, which Hope gratefully.

'Good to have you back.' Rapunzel said softly touching Hope's shoulder.

Hope gave her a small smile and nodded before walking after Finn up the stairs.

'My room or yours?' Finn asked.

'Do you mind if we'd take mine?' Hope asked.

'You don't have to stay with me if you'd rather go to your own room by the way.' Hope said. 'I can take care of myself.'

'Don't be silly, I know you can, but I want to be with you.' Finn said, pulling her closer and wrapping his arm around her shoulders.

When they were lying in bed and facing each other Hope sighed.

'I'm sorry.' Hope said.

Finn placed his hand on her cheek.

'I know your intentions were good, but I can't live without you, so please don't ever do anything that stupid again.' Finn said.

Hope bit her lip, fighting the tears.

'I'm really sorry Finn.' Hope said softly.

'I know.' he said pulling her close against him.

'But what were YOU thinking! You could've died.' Hope said.

'If you die, I die.' he said.

Hope shook her head and took Finn's shirt in her fist, pulling herself closer, resting her head on his chest. She heard his heart beating in his chest and that was the most comforting sound at the moment.
