Once Upon a Time

Chapter 5

‘Can’t we just go a bit slower?’ Hope asked.

‘No we need to hurry up.’ Faith said.

After a while running they arrived at a huge house. Faith rang the bell.

‘Hello?’ A man asked through an intercom.

‘Hello, we’re here for Alice, this is Faith Watson and Hope Holmes.’ Faith said.

‘Wait a second.’ The man said.

‘It’s okay, walk further.’ The man said after a few seconds.

The gates opened and they walked further. The garden was beautiful and they walked up to the door over the long aisle. The door opened before Faith could knock on it and a small man stood in front of them.

‘I’ll take you to Miss Alice.’ He said and he started to walk.

Hope and Faith followed and the door closed with a BANG behind them. Hope jumped slightly and looked behind. They walked up a huge stairs and then the man stopped in front of a door, he knocked on the door and then stepped aside.

‘Come in.’ I woman said from inside.

Faith opened the door and walked in, Hope following her and the door closed again behind Hope. A woman was standing by the window, looking outside.

‘Hello Alice.’ Faith said with a smile.

Alice turned around and smiled.

‘Great to see you again Faith!’ Alice said smiling.

‘And you’re princess Hope?’ Alice asked giving Hope a hand.

‘I guess so.’ Hope said slowly.

‘But if you’re here with the princess, then there is something wrong…’ Alice said.

‘Yes there is.’ Faith said.

‘Come sit down and tell me everything.’ Alice said walking to chairs in her room.

They sat down and Faith started to tell everything that happened.

‘Faith?’ Hope asked.

Faith turned to Hope after she finished.

‘You still didn’t tell me why we’re running away.’ Hope said.

‘You didn’t tell her?’ Alice asked surprised.

‘No I was quite busy getting us out alive.’ Faith said.

‘Understandable.’ Alice said.

‘But tell me why are we running away, and from what?’ Hope asked.

‘Oh silly girl, you’ve been reading the Fairy Tales book right?’ Alice asked.

‘Yes I did.’ Hope said.

‘Everything is in there.’ Alice said.

‘But what is after us then?’ I asked.

‘Have you read your own chapter?’ Alice asked.

‘No because then Watson let me jump out of a window.’ I said glaring at Faith.

‘Oi, otherwise you would’ve been dead!’ Faith said.

‘I could’ve died if I didn’t get the tree.’ Hope said.

‘But you did.’ Faith said.

‘But WHAT is after us?’ I asked.

‘Not us, after you.’ Faith said.

‘What is after me then?’ Hope asked.

‘I think she better read her chapter.’ Alice said.
