*three months later*

Hope shot up, heavily breathing. She lifted her hand up, placing it on her forehead, which was wet with sweat. She looked around, seeing she was still in her room.

‘It was just a nightmare, just a nightmare.’ she told herself.

‘Sure it was?’ someone said.

Hope turned her gaze towards the spot where the sound came from and saw a dark figure standing there. Amity who was next to Hope started tweeting angrily. Hope opened her fists and light shone out from her palms. The person who had just spoken, was the Evil Queen.

‘What are you doing here!’ Hope demanded, taking Amity out of the Evil Queen’s sight.

‘Look at that, our princess has learned to control her magic.’ the Evil Queen spoke.

‘What. Are. You. Doing. Here!’ Hope demanded again.

‘I was coming to congratulate you, I wanted to be the first person to say that to you on your birthday.’ the Evil Queen smiled.

‘I’m after all your grandmother.’ she said.

‘You’re not my grandmother.’ Hope snapped.

‘Step-grandmother, details that nobody cares about.’ the Evil Queen said.

‘Well you congratulated me, now get the hell out, before I start screaming.’ Hope said.

‘And then what? Your parents come to your side to rescue you, come on.’ the Evil Queen laughed.

‘They’re not strong enough to win from me.’ she said.

‘They’ve done it before.’ Hope said.

‘Oh no, Hope, little little Hope.’ the Evil Queen smirked.

‘That was all part of the plan.’ she said.

‘Sure, whatever makes you feel better.’ Hope said.

‘So, have you figured out what you’re going to do?’ the Evil Queen asked.

Hope looked at her, not saying a word.

‘Because it’s not fair what you’re doing now, keeping two guys on the leash.’ the Evil Queen said.

‘Get out of here.’ Hope said.

‘Or else?’

‘You don’t want to know.’ Hope said.

The Evil Queen smiled.

‘I hope you’ll have a wonderful day, Hope my dear, there is a big plot twist coming your way.’ she said and then she had disappeared.

Hope shot up in bed. A streak of sunlight came through her curtains.

Did that really happen…… or was it a dream?

‘Happy birthday.’ Faith said coming in without knocking.

Hope looked up and gave her a small smile.

‘Ah come on! You’re already awake!’ Faith said.

‘Sorry.’ Hope said.

‘Well as there isn’t a Veronica or Claire to mess with, I had to get you something else.’ Faith said.

Hope rolled her eyes.

‘That must’ve been an impossible task for you.’ Hope said.

‘Oh ha-ha what are we funny this early in the morning.’ Faith said.
