‘IT’S A BOOK!’ Hope shouted.

The old lady looked up from Faith and the knife.

‘Oh really.’ She said.

‘And where is that so called book?’ The old lady said.

‘Behind a tree.’ Hope said softly looking down.

The old lady got a smirk on her face and she pushed Faith back into her cage. When the old lady had walked out of the house Hope fast turned her gaze to Faith. Faith had a little cut on her neck.

‘Why did you tell her?’ Faith asked breathlessly.

‘I’m not letting my best friend get killed, come on what did you think of me.’ Hope said.

‘That book is dangerous for everyone when it’s in the wrong hands.’ Faith said.

‘I don’t care as long as you’re save.’ Hope said.

Faith sighed and looked down at her hand. A drip of blood rolled down her neck and she fast wiped it away.

‘Thank you.’ Faith said.

‘No problem.’ Hope said with a small smile.

‘But we still have to get out of here.’ Hope said.

Faith nodded.

‘Sorry I didn’t listen to you, it’s all my fault we’re stuck here.’ Faith said.

‘Doesn’t matter.’ Hope said.

‘I’m not letting her eat you, you can depend on that one.’ Faith said.

‘Same way around.’ Hope said.

Faith smiled.

‘Remember I’m your protector, not the other way around.’ Faith said.

‘Still not letting you get killed by an old hungry witch, who do you think I am?’ Hope said.

Then the door opened and the old witch walked in with the book in her hands.

‘This book…. it seems familiar.’ The old lady said more to herself then to Hope or Faith.

‘Where have I seen it before?’ She asked herself.

Hope looked at Faith and back at the witch. The old lady opened the book and turned a few pages, before turning them faster and faster.

‘What kind of book is this?’ She snapped at Hope.

‘Just a book.’ Hope said.

‘No it’s not, there is nothing in it.’ She snapped showing the pages.

‘Yes there i-‘ Hope started, but then Faith softly cleared her throat.

‘So you can see what is in there?’ The old lady said after she had looked at the warning look of Faith, back to Hope.

‘No I can’t.’ Hope said.

‘Are we going to play it hard again?’ The old lady snapped.

‘It’s just blank pages.’ Hope said.

‘You said that there was something.’ The old lady said nearing the cages.

‘No I didn’t.’ Hope said.

‘You want to play it hard again I can see.’ The old lady sighed.

She threw the book on the ground and got Faith again out of her cage.
