Chapter 47

‘You look exhausted.’ Snow said as Hope walked in for breakfast.

Everyone except her father was seated around the table.

‘I don’t find that weird with my night visit from someone.’ Hope said just loud enough for only Finn to hear when she passed him.

Finn smirked.

‘I’m sorry?’ Snow asked.

‘Oh just that I didn’t sleep well.’ Hope said.

‘Nightmares?’ Snow asked.

‘She was killed in her dream.’ Finn said.

Hope gave him a deadly glare as she sat down opposite from him. Faith almost spit her tea out.

‘And how do you know?’ Faith asked, after recovering herself.

Hope elbowed her best friend between the ribs.

‘Ouch.’ Faith exclaimed.

‘Do I miss something?’ Snow asked.

‘No.’ Hope and Faith said in unison.

Finn looked at Hope with a smirk and Hope rolled her eyes, just at that moment her father walked in.

‘Good morning and happy birthday to you.’ Hope said, glad there was an escape for her.

Hope stood up and walked over to her father, giving him a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

‘Old man.’ Hope said smirking.

‘I’m not old!’ Charming said.

‘Just messing with you.’ she said smiling, then returning to her seat.

Everyone wished him a happy birthday and then went further with their breakfast.

‘Are you excited about the party tonight?’ Hope asked.

‘Very, especially because this will be my first birthday with you.’ Charming said.

Hope gave him a small smile.

‘Who’s coming?’ Hope asked.

‘Everyone who came at your party.’ Snow said.

Hope nodded and took a bite of her toast.

‘Oh yes I know.’ Hope said smiling as she walked with Autumn through the ballroom.

They were busy decorating it and Autumn had come and get her to get changed.

‘Hope.’

Hope turned and saw Finn walking up to her.

‘I’m sorry, may I steal her for a minute?’ Finn asked Autumn.

Autumn smiled.

‘She’s all yours.’ Autumn said.

‘I’ll be in your room.’ Autumn said.

Hope nodded with a smile before turning to Finn.

‘Something wrong?’ Hope asked.

‘I was just wondering what you would be wearing.’ Finn asked.

‘Well you’re not alone in that.’ Hope said.

‘I was just going to look at what was hanging ready for me to pull on.’ Hope said.

‘So is that it?’ she asked.

‘And I was wondering what you’ll be telling Jace.’ Finn said.
