Chapter 24

Hope turned around and saw Faith was standing in front of Rose’s house, looking at the two of them with a smirk plastered on her face. Hope started to make her way over to her best friend when Faith yelled something.

‘What?’ Hope asked and then she was thrown against the ground.

She turned around and saw Finn standing there with a cheeky smile on his face.

‘Dude I already won.’ Hope said.

‘Yes and this is my revenge.’ Finn told her.

Hope rolled her eyes laughing and got up with the help of Finn.

‘You know I let you win, right?’ Finn said as they walked back to the house.

Hope raised one eyebrow.

‘No you didn’t, I totally beat your ass!’ Hope said.

Finn laughed.

‘You wish.’ Finn said.

‘Well let’s ask Faith.’ Hope said as she started to run.

‘Faith, how long have you been standing there?’ Hope asked.

‘From the beginning of your fight.’ Faith said.

‘So you saw the whole fight?’ Hope asked.

Faith nodded.

‘Great, so you can tell Finn I won and he couldn’t do anything about it.’ Hope said.

Faith laughed.

‘If that gives you a good feeling, sure.’ Faith said.

‘She won and you couldn’t do anything about it.’ Faith said after she turned to Finn.

Finn laughed and Hope frowned.

‘He let me win.’ Hope said.

‘Yep.’ Faith said.

‘Of course, how would you ever be convinced you would beat somebody?’ Finn said.

‘Oh nice, you’re such a great person.’ Hope said.

Finn shrugged ignoring the sarcasm.

‘No problem princess.’ Finn said placing his arm around Hope’s shoulders.

Hope pushed his arm away and took a step aside.

‘I thought we were best buds.’ Finn said.

‘Dream further charming, you’re the enemy.’ Hope said.

Finn smirked.

‘If you want it that way.’ Finn said and with one quick move he was holding is sword again.

‘Seriously?’ Faith sighed.

‘Yep.’ Finn said as Hope said at the same time ‘Nope.’

‘Dude I’m thirsty.’ Hope said.

‘We’re not done until I say we are.’ Finn said.

Hope laughed.

‘Whatever you want, I’m getting myself something to drink.’ Hope said as she wiped the sweat off her forehead.

‘I have to say, you’re a great fighter.’ Faith said as they walked towards the door.

‘Thanks.’ Hope said smiling.

‘It almost looks like he really tries to kill you.’ Faith said.

‘Hun, he does.’ Hope said.
