‘How did you know?’ Hope heard Finn ask.
Hope was waking up and she heard Finn and Faith having a conversation, thinking Hope was still asleep.
‘I told you that I had met you before.’ Faith said.
‘Where?’ Finn asked.
‘I was one year old, I was in the castle back then.’ Faith said.
‘In the castle?’ Finn asked.
‘Yes, I was with Snow White and her new born.’ Faith said.
‘You came with your mother that day.’ Faith said.
‘Guys what are you talking about?’ Hope asked sitting up and looking and the two startled faces.
‘Weren’t you sleeping?’ Finn asked.
‘Not really no, as you can see.’ Hope said.
‘I called him Fitzherbert that day remember? I called him that because that is his last name.’ Faith said.
‘Fitzherbert?’ Hope asked turning her gaze to Finn.
‘Good for him, but what does that matter?’ Hope asked.
‘Stealing, it’s kind of in his blood.’ Faith said.
‘Why?’ Hope asked.
‘Are your parents thieves?’ Hope asked.
‘No.’ Finn said.
‘Why is it in his blood?’ Hope asked.
‘His father once was one.’ Faith said.
‘Wait, your last name is Fitzherbert….’ Hope started.
‘Is your dad Eugene Fitzherbert, as in Flynn Rider?’ Hope asked.
Finn nodded.
‘Bu- but that means that Rapunzel is your mother!’ Hope said.
‘Yep.’ Finn said.
‘Wow I hadn’t expect that one coming.’ Hope said.
‘Well you can’t choose your parents.’ Finn said.
‘I didn’t say it was a bad thing, it just surprised me.’ Hope said.
‘Hmm.’ Finn said.
‘Shall we go further?’ Finn asked.
Hope stood up and grabbed her book.
‘Let’s go then.’ Hope said.
They started to walk further. Finn caring his bag, the blankets and his sword. Hope caring the book and Faith a bottle of water that Finn had filled that morning after he had woken up.
‘Wait a second.’ Hope said as she stopped walking after they had been on their way for a hour straight.
Finn and Faith turned around facing Hope with questioning faces.
‘You’re mother is Rapunzel.’ Hope said.
‘We’ve been through this already.’ Finn said.
‘Fitzherbert! Your mother is Rapunzel!’ Hope said.
‘Hope, I know who my mother is.’ Finn said.
‘Faith does your neck still hurt?’ Hope asked.
‘Yes, but why is that-‘ Faith started.
‘We need to find your mom, she can heal Faith’s neck.’ Hope said turning back to Finn.
‘Why didn’t you tell us earlier your mother was Rapunzel, she could’ve helped us, she could’ve healed Faith.’ Hope said.
‘One problem princess, I have no idea where my mother is.’ Finn said.
‘What do you mean?’ Hope asked.
‘I walked away and when I came back they were gone.’ Finn said.
‘Oh I’m so sorry Fi-‘ Hope started.
‘Just don’t.’ Finn said.
‘What?’ Hope asked.
‘Apologize, you didn’t do anything wrong.’ Finn said.
‘I’m sorry.’ Hope said.
Finn rolled his eyes.
‘But now you know almost everything about me, I would like to know a bit more about the two of you.’ Finn said.
Hope turned her gaze to Faith.
‘Later.’ Faith said.
‘When we’ve got a place to sleep you both are gonna spill.’ Finn said.
‘Okay.’ Faith said shrugging her shoulders and they walked further.
‘Flower gleam and glow.
Let your power shine.
Make the clock reverse, bring back what once was mine.
Heal what has been hurt.
Change the fates design.
Save what has been lost.
Bring back what once was mine, what once was mine.’ Hope sang softly as Faith and Finn, who were walking in front of her, were talking. What she didn’t noticed was that the signs on her hand started to glow again.
‘Now spill.’ Finn said after he made a fire.
It was already dark and they just had eaten something. They had come through the day without any accidents and that was an accomplishment.
‘I don’t know who my parents are. I’ve been found by Red when I was a baby and I’ve been raised in the castle. I’m Hope’s protector. I’ve known her since her birth.’ Faith told.
Finn nodded.
‘And what about you?’ Finn asked turning to Hope.
‘I can’t believe this! Biggest secret walking around in this world and she’s asleep.’ Finn said throwing his hands up in the air.
Faith chuckled and looked at Finn, who had grabbed a blanket and put it over Hope.
‘It was a long day.’ Faith said.
‘Couldn’t she just stay awake for a few more minutes?’ Finn asked laughing as he sat down again.
‘Maybe she did this on purpose.’ Faith said.
‘And what is that book she’s dragging around all the time?’ Finn asked looking at the book that Hope was holding tightly in her arms as she was sleeping.
‘It looks like she’s protecting it with her life.’ Finn said.
‘It’s important to her.’ Faith said.
‘Why?’ Finn asked.
‘Actually it’s important for all of us.’ Faith said.
‘Why?’ Finn asked again.
‘If it falls in the wrong hands, it’s dangerous for everyone.’ Faith said.
‘How is that possible? It’s a book.’ Finn said.
Faith shook her head.
‘Not just a book.’ Faith said.
‘But it’s strange.’ Faith said.
‘What is?’ Finn asked.
‘The book, the witch couldn’t see what was in there, she only could see blank pages.’ Faith said.
‘Really? Can I try?’ Finn asked.
‘I don’t think that’s a good idea.’ Faith said.
‘Come on, she’s sleeping, she won’t notice it.’ Finn said.
‘Won’t happen twice.’ Faith said.
Finn rolled his eyes and walked towards Hope. He bowed down and grabbed the book. Just when he had it, Hope opened her eyes and she started to slap and kick him.
‘OUCH Hope! HOPE STOP IT!’ Finn said.
‘It’s me.’ Finn said.
Hope looked angry up at him.
‘And your point is?’ Hope asked.
Faith chuckled.
‘Told you.’ Faith said.
‘WHAT THE HECK WERE THINKING FITZHERBERT?’ Hope asked.
‘Do you think I’m letting anyone steal this book again?’ Hope asked.
‘Especially you.’ Hope said.
‘No, I just wanted to look in it.’ Finn said.
‘What about no?’ Hope said with a smile.
‘Come on.’ Finn said.
‘Good night.’ Hope said turning around taking the book with her in her arms and closing her eyes again.
‘Oh as you’re awake right now, you can tell me about you.’ Finn said.
Hope turned her head and gave him a deadly glare.
‘Are you even serious right now? You’re waking me up, almost stealing my book, AGAIN, that is one of the two things I possess that’s been of my mother, who I don’t even know fyi, and you think with your dumbass brains I’m going to talk about myself? Well dream further prince Charming.’ Hope said.
‘Fyi?’ Finn asked turning to Faith.
‘For your information.’ Faith said.
‘Oooh.’ Finn said turning back to Hope.
‘I now at least know that you’ve never met your mother and that you’ve got two things of her.’ Finn said.
‘We are making progress princess.’ Finn said.
Hope scowled and turned back around.
‘What is the other thing?’ Finn whispered looking back at Faith.
‘Why? So you can steal that from me?’ Hope asked.
‘Her necklace.’ Faith said.
‘Which necklace?’ Finn asked.
‘The one around my neck moron.’ Hope said.
‘I’ve never seen a necklace around your neck.’ Finn said.
Hope turned around and showed him the necklace.
‘Thank you.’ Finn said.
‘For what?’ Hope asked.
‘Showing.’ Finn said.
Hope sighed and laid back down.
‘Good night princess.’ Finn said.
‘Shut up.’ Hope said.
Finn smirked and turned back to Faith who was just rolling her eyes.
‘Good night.’ He said.
‘Good night.’
Hope woke up and saw that Finn and Faith were both still sleeping. She got up, grabbed the three bottles and started to make her way over to the nearest water. She filled the three bottles and made her way back. When she came back they were both still asleep. Hope put the two bottles down and opened the third one. She walked over to Finn’s place and stopped in front of him.
‘WHAT THE- HOPE ARE YOU NUTS? I COULD’VE KILLED YOU!’ Finn shouted as the water made contact with his face.
Hope laughed.
‘Good morning sunshine.’ Hope said .
‘I’ll get my pay back believe me.’ Finn said getting up.
‘Sure you do, would you rather have your pay back stirred or shaken?’ Hope asked.
Finn scowled at her and she gave him a friendly smile.
‘Faith, wake up.’ Hope said shaking her friends shoulder.
‘We’re going further.’ Hope said after Faith opened her eyes.
‘Faith, you’re looking really pale, are you okay?’ Hope asked.
‘My neck.’ Faith managed to say.
‘Does it still hurt?’ Hope asked.
Faith nodded lightly.
‘Finn we need to find your mother.’ Hope said turning around to Finn.
‘I told you I don’t know where she is.’ Finn said walking over to Hope and Faith and kneeling down next to her.
‘She’s the only one who can help her.’ Hope said.
‘But I really have no idea where she is.’ Finn said.
‘Please, try to think of every single place where she could be.’ Hope said.
‘I don’t know.’ Finn said.
‘Wait you said you met him ages ago in the castle.’ Hope said turning to Faith.
‘She can be in the castle.’ Hope said.
‘I don’t know.’ Finn said again.
‘Come on.’ Hope said taking Faith’s hands and pulling her up.
She placed one arm around her shoulders and held it with her hand as she held her book tightly with her other hand. Finn grabbed all the things and placed Faith’s other arm around his shoulders.
‘Come on.’ Finn said and they started to go further on their journey to the castle.
‘I can’t go any further.’ Faith panted.
Finn looked at Hope who frowned.
‘We can stop for a bit, catching our breath, getting some water.’ Hope said.
Finn nodded and they let Faith sit down on the ground.
‘How is it possible she’s feeling like this?’ Hope asked softly.
‘I don’t know what has exactly happened back there in the candyhouse and I’ve got a feeling you’re keeping something behind.’ Finn said.
‘I hear someone needs help.’ A high pitched man voice said out of the sudden behind them.
Hope turned around.
Hope’s eyes widened when she recognized the man who was standing behind them. It was Rumpelstiltskin.
A/N:
Sooo Finn's parents are Rapunzel and Eugene Fitzherbert, with those two characters I had the Disney movie Tangled in the back of my head as I absolutely loved that movie and I thought those characters were great! If you haven't seen the movie yet, I really recommend it, and remember you're never to old for a Disney movie ;)
I hope you like the story, I definitely love to write on it :)
Thanks for reading and I'll post the next chapter as soon as possible
