Chapter 52

Hope got off her horse and patted him on the neck.

‘Did a great job buddy.’ Hope said kissing his nose.

‘I’ll make sure they’ll give you some more treats tonight.’ she said smiling.

The horse reacted to that by moving his head. Hope smiled and shook her head.

‘Everything for food.’ she chuckled.

She walked to the steps that were in front of the front doors.

‘Hope.’ Jace said.

‘Yes?’ Hope asked.

‘I just wanted to say that I miss you.’ Jace said.

Hope looked at him, biting her lip.

‘I miss you too.’ she said.

Jace gave her a small smile and walked over to her, giving her a hug.

‘I’m glad I found you standing there behind that pillar that first night.’ Jace whispered.

Hope smiled into her arm, that she had wrapped around his neck.

‘Could I stay here for a few days?’ Jace asked.

‘Of course.’ Hope said pulling away.

‘We’ve got enough rooms.’ Hope said smiling.

‘Come on, let’s go inside.’ Hope said when Red had joined them.

They walked up the steps and through the front doors that were opened for them by the guards who were standing outside. When Hope walked inside she saw Finn sitting on the stairs, when he heard the doors opening he fast looked up and when he saw it was Hope, he stood up and ran over to her. He wrapped his arms around her waist and lifted her up, kissing her passionately on the lips. Hope wrapped her arms around his neck and smiled. She pulled away and looked in his eyes.

‘Are you okay?’ Finn asked.

‘Of course I am.’ she said smirking.

‘Are you recovered?’ Hope asked.

‘Almost.’ he said smiling.

‘Do you have it?’ he asked.

‘Of course I do.’ she said pulling away from him, showing the little box.

‘She’s a little bit too big for that I think.’ he said.

Hope rolled her eyes.

‘Where are my parents?’ Hope asked.

‘Library.’ Finn said.

Hope nodded and walked towards the library with Red, Jace and Finn following her.

‘We’re back.’ Hope said.

‘So you found nothing?’ Hope asked.

Finn shook his head.

‘We’ve got the cage now though.’ Finn said.

Hope nodded, but she was not convinced yet.

‘Don’t worry, all of this will be over before you know it.’ Finn said.

‘I hope  you’re right.’ Hope said.

‘Of course I am, I’m always right.’ Finn said giving her a cheeky smile.

Hope rolled her eyes.

‘You haven’t lost your self-confidence.’ Hope said.

Finn smiled.
