Chapter 58

Hope walked through the corridor and down the stairs. And before she knew it she was standing in front of the door that leads down to the dungeons. Hope looked around her and there was no one.

'Hope.' she heard a silent whisper say.

'Hope.'

Hope closed her eyes to concentrate on the voice she heard.

'Come down.'

Hope raised her hand without realising and before she knew it she opened the door. Hope looked around again and she was still alone.

'Hope, come down.'

Hope took in a deep breath.

'Finn.' Hope said softly, thinking of the promise she gave Finn. She wouldn't go down here. But she had to know where that whisper came from, didn't she? Hope took in a deep breath and opened the door further so that she could pass.

'Hope.'

Hope took a step down the stairs.

'Come down.'

Hope slowly walked down the stairs and arrived on the ground before she even realised it.

'Hope.'

Hope passed the corner and another.

'Come down.'

That's when she saw a door with a little window.

'Good girl, now come closer.'

Hope walked to the door and opened it, the window was up to high for her and she wasn't feeling like jumping to see what's in the room. When she opened the door she saw the Evil Queen in the cage. The Evil Queen looked up at her with a wicked smirk.

'You came.' she said.

Hope looked around.

Where are the guards.

'They are gone.' the Evil Queen said.

'The guards.' she added pointing at the door.

Was that a coincidence?

'No Hope, it was no coincidence.' the Evil Queen said.

Hope frowned.

'And yes, I can read your mind as if it's my own.' the Evil Queen said.

'Which means I can control your mind too.' she said.

'You can't, not in that cage.' Hope said.

'You think a little cage would keep me from using magic?' the Evil Queen said smirking getting up.

'It's supposed to do that.' Hope said.

'It doesn't.' the Evil Queen smirked.

'The only problem is that I can't get out.' she said.

'And you think I'll let you out?' Hope said.

'Hope?'

Hope turned around and saw Finn standing behind her.

'You promised me you wouldn't come down here!' he said.

'Finn, I-' she started.

'You promised, how am I supposed to trust you?' Finn said.

'Finn-' Hope started again.

'Trouble in paradise.' the Evil Queen said.

'Shut up.' Hope said.
