‘Almost there.’ Hope thought seeing the little houses.
‘Almost there.’ She thought, encouraging herself to go further.
She was incredibly tired, they had been walking since they woke up and she couldn’t go any further. She was exhausted.
‘Keeping up princess?’ Finn asked looking behind him.
‘Just fine.’ Hope said.
Faith laughed.
‘Not funny.’ Hope groaned.
Faith was walking next to Finn and Hope was about a metre behind them.
‘We’re almost there.’ Faith said.
‘I can see that.’ Hope said.
After thirty minutes they arrived in the village. Hope looked around and saw people buying things from little stalls, talking to each other and laughing. Then a girl ran up to Hope around the age of 6 and gave Hope a rose.
‘Thank you.’ Hope said with a smile.
She kneeled down in front of the girl and the girl smiled.
‘Do you maybe know a place where my friends and I can stay for the night?’ Hope asked.
‘Yes, I’ll walk with you.’ The little girl said taking Hope’s hand as Hope stood up.
‘May I ask what your name is?’ Hope asked.
‘I’m Rose.’ Rose said.
‘What’s your name?’ She asked.
‘I’m Hope.’
The girl’s eyes widened.
‘Are you the lost princess?’ She asked.
Hope immediately stopped, looking down at the girl.
‘Yes, but I don’t want everyone to know that, so that’s our little secret okay?’ Hope asked after a moment of silence.
Rose nodded.
‘Okay.’
‘Are you giving roses to everyone?’ Hope asked.
‘No, someone came up to me and wanted me to give you the rose.’ Rose told her.
‘Who?’ Hope asked.
‘I can’t tell.’ Rose said.
Hope frowned and looked back up. Then she saw Finn and Faith again. They were looking at bread that was on a stall.
‘Faith, Finn, this is Rose, she knows a place where we can stay.’ Hope said.
Faith turned around.
‘Hi.’ She said to the girl.
The girl gave her a smile.
‘Are you coming?’ Hope asked.
Finn turned around and nodded as he put the bread in the bag.
‘Rose?’ Finn asked as he looked at the girl, who was holding Hope’s hand.
Rose let go of Hope and jumped in his arms hugging him.
‘How are you?’ Finn asked.
‘I’m fine, you?’ She asked.
Finn put her down and gave her a smile.
‘Same.’ He said smiling.
‘You haven’t changed at all.’ Finn said.
